    Hi NickMann,

    They're completely different really.

Odesk is great for starting out, it'll get you folk that you can use for one off tasks and then you can make them an "offer" down the road to come on baord permanently if you like them.

John's Replace Myself gives you access to a load of training and a couple of tools that will make running your outsourced worker easier (although you can set some of that stuff up using other tools obviously)

He also provides access to a couple of recruitment websites in the philippines, so you can see the resumes of workers before hiring them.

You could start out easily with Odesk and "upgrade" to RM when the money is coming in...how's that for a compromise.

As a disclaimer, I got an OTO from John at an event in London, so I'm not on a monthly payment.

Yep - this is a standard upsell that is offered to everyone when they subscribe to the monthly plan. I took it also, and am very happy that I did.

I wanted to put my money where my mouth was at the time (really commit to it). If I had less money I would have done this:

      1) subscribe to the monthly, not the upsell

      2) after one month evaluate "Do I like this? Worth it?". If "yes", then ask John/Dan if they'll let me upgrade now. If they say no, cancel and re-join with the upsell. My bet is they allow the upgrade if you ask. Just a bet.

Yep, they do allow you to upgrade if you ask them nicely. I upgraded after a couple of days and Dan processed it for me with no trouble at all

          Gaurav,

How many do you employee... I guess my real question is, how easy is it to find one person that could do a little of everything...

Does the screen John does have to do with their complete knowledge of IM...

BTW - your niche domination was one of the few packages that had a large part in me getting my business off the ground... I haven't been back to the download page but I loved the add ons...

          Thanks again

I'm a customer of Replace Myself (disclosure: I also promote it as an affiliate)

I have blogged a LOT about using it here so it's worth reading some of those posts if you want to get more info.

Let me sum up a few points:

The most important point is that Replace Myself is about teaching you how to be the CEO of your own online business, not the guy who does everything. It teaches you to work "on" your business rather than "in" your business.

    Other important info:

    1) Replace Myself is a program that teaches you how to outsource to the Philippines. This includes hiring staff, training them, and what to have them do for your within your business to make you money.

    2) It is NOT an outsourcing service like oDesk or elance, although John Jonas does own OnlineJobs.ph and you get free access to it in order to hire full time or part time staff. He also has pre-screened people you can hire but there is a finders fee for that, and I've never used it.

    3) The main advantage of the program is the training modules. These are intended for the guys that you hire, NOT FOR YOU. Well, the first module is for you and some of the bonus items are for you, but mostly Replace Myself is about getting your GUYS up to speed on Internet Marketing activities so they can add value to your business fast.

    4) The first month of the program is worth doing. I'm pretty sure there is a 30 day refund policy if you are not happy and you can always cancel.

    5) There is an upsell to a "pro" package that gives you perpetual access to the system with no recurring fees ever again. That's what I bought after much homework. But you don't have to buy that and I'm pretty sure you could ask them to let you upgrade later.

Like I said check out my blog for more info and examples of my own experiences / thoughts.

I just paid on odesk and looked at the markup and my thought was like wow. makes a difference for bigger jobs. My marketer friend says he makes 30 an hour through odesk that's a big fee for his employer.

Nick - you'll find a variety of people. Here is what you need to think about:

    1) Will you keep the employee for a long time?
    2) Will you treat the employee well?

If yes, then focus on getting someone smart, honest and with decent English. If you do then they can learn ANYTHING. They will not know everything from day one. That's why you train them (or provide John's trainings to them). You are investing in the business.

I recently updated my review of Replace Myself also.
