Video recording program

Hi,

I'm looking for a recording program (desktop + voice).
I have tried CamStudio but getting purple "noice" in the videos.

Camtasia is $300, which is quite a bit.

Any suggestions?

What do you mean purple noise, perhaps you just need to adjust the settings

Have no idea what is wrong.
When I try to play the recorded video, then the video is purple (flickering).

It's just a normal avi file, so no special codec required or anything.

    It's weird

I suggest you head over to the CamStudio forums and ask about it. It could have something to do with the hardware acceleration on your graphics card. It might be a simple fix.

CamStudio and Camtasia are the only ones I know of for Windows. Some people mention Jing (made by the Camtasia guys), but it's got some pretty severe limitations.

I have been using Camtasia since version 3 (its now at 7), and it is the best, IMO. The color problem is probably unique to your system, but TechSmith (the makers of Camtasia) offers very high quality support. Camtasia is an excellent investment for doing serious work.
