Any comments on ED DALE and his challenge...

I am curious as to whether any warriors have done The Challenge and what your thoughts were as to a starting point into IM.

I am on week 3 and I am liking the education and guidance so far...is this just
another way to have people spend money on ED's affiliations?

Thanks
Derrick

Of course ultimately he would like you to spend money on his affiliations as you put it but the information is still very solid as a free course. It's just theirs much more to IM than what he talks about but I think the challenge is a great way to start for those who want to do SEO.

Oh man, the $1 Challenge course? I remember taking that years ago, haha.

It was a great learning experience, gave me a bit of insight as to what I wanted to do in IM. I'd continue going through it and see what happens, you've got nothing to lose, especially at week 3.

In my opinion it is an absolute must for beginners or those struggling to make any money. I'm biased, but I'll share the reason why afterwards.

Anyway, the challenge will help you to build a solid foundation in internet marketing. You won't find a missing puzzle piece like you usually find in most courses.

The challenge gives you the building blocks and the basics you need to develop and begin your marketing career.

Now, here's why I'm biased. I did the challenge back in 2006 when it was called The Thirty Day Challenge. I had been trying to make money online for probably a year before finding Ed with no success.

After doing the challenge, it turned everything around for me. The site I created in the challenge in 2006 went on to make $30,000 the following year! It was pretty much like a light bulb being turned on for me. I finally got the whole picture.

After that I simply built upon the principles, methods, and research I learned from Ed to make more money and work with higher competition.

So in my opinion, yes the challenge is most definitely worth it for a solid foundation in internet marketing!

Pretty underwhelming.... basically a huge affiliate push for market samurai at this point.

The 'challenge' is all about creating a niche site and monetizing it with adsense. As far as content-writing goes, the basic message is: just write great content. There's a lot that could be improved here. No pre-selling at all.

This is also super newbie-centric so you'll suffer through a lot of boring stuff.

Now you can see all the training. My suggestion is to skip all the time-consuming videos and just read through the pdf versions of all the training.

Read through all of it and look for the good stuff rather than sitting through these videos day by day.

I started with that course. It teaches the majority of the required basics. It is an awesome course for beginners. I highly recommend following it right the way through. Even if you don't make any money from completing the course, you will have learn't how IM works and have ideas on other things you can do. Ed's course is a very similar method to a lot of WSO I have seen, so completing this course is a good idea.

no, it's not just another way to spend money on his products. He's giving away great content for free, and I personally know lots of people who have tried and recommended the 30 DC

Probably one of THE most comprehensive FREE training there is for beginners. Got me started, and I re-do every year to keep fresh.

The Challenge (then known as the 30 Day Challenge) was my introduction into IM a few years back. It was informative / educational and I've revisited the course a few times since. Although they feature a few products, I felt no pressure nor was there a sense of urgency to buy anything. What do you have to lose? It's FREE. My kinda price.

The 30 Day Challenge was the first thing that helped me get into Internet Marketing and provided me with the foundation of the business that still benefits me today.

    Highly recommended.

The Challenge is a great learning resource. I've completed it a number of times, and I always learn something new and valuable. Obviously, Ed would like you to eventually buy one of his recommendations, but there is no hard-selling, and you get the education whether you buy or not.

I was a moderator on the Challenge forum a few years back, and I was given free access to Ed's high-end training (Immediate Edge). This training builds on the training in the Challenge - it doesn't replace it, so they definitely practice what they preach. They do this because it works.

I have used the principles I learned in the Challenge to build a number of successful online businesses.

My advice is to use The Challenge to get your foundational IM skills/principles in place, and then add your own twists to it as you become more experienced.

      Cheers, Gary
