Note that most classified sites tend to not allow "recruiting" affiliate programs or MLM.

I spent a year with USA Freeads, don't waste you time. I tried others and the effort wasn't worth it.

I have determined that these are places where people place ads and buy ad space but they are not where "buyers" go for products.

I have had success with Backpage! My last check from Clickbank was only $98 bucks but it only took a couple hours to post the ads.

Craigslist is a dynamo if you can keep an ad up for hours and days rather that minutes and seconds (my last one lasted 17 minutes). Craigslist is the best but you have to backdoor everything. If you place a blatant ad for a Clickbank product for example your ad will be vaporized and you will be flamed anytime you try to sell that old bike in the back yard.

I have a blog that gets 13 to 50 or 60 hits a day and that number is climbing every day because of some Ezine articles I wrote some time ago. If you put together good content that is correct and thoughtful, other companies spread the word. Not all of them will do the right thing and link to your site but most will and you can get even more traffic.

Give Backpage a try. They have an expanding market.

If I were you I'd just Google the 'Top 25 Classified Sites" and then go from their. I use a program called power submitter...it updates automatically everytime you start it up....it's been an excellent tool for auto submitting to classified sites

I always thought online classifieds were similar
to FFA sites where they are mostly visited by
other marketers. Are people really using these
sites to look for products & services?

Would you give some details about the results
you received from posting to online classifieds,
particularly about the number of visitors you
      received that converted into sales?

I use a link tracker. I had one in my siggy but admin assumed it was
an affiliate link and removed it so I changed it. Why do you ask?

If you like I have a software that submits to classified ads.

The proof will be in your data but of course you need to have a way to track to make sure.

I can run it through the system and you can then know from your tracking system if it works.

Classifieds ads are not something to miss out on either.

Most of them are like FFA sites, so worthless. You can check out Directory Of Ezines (DOE), seems to be pretty good in delivering valuable links to good classified ads/solo ads providers. This is not free, nor is placing ads at recommended sites.
