Best free Wordpress plugins

This has been done a while back, but with so many new plugins I thought it worth a refresh. What is your top free WP plugin?

The list below are my essential plugins that I use on every site:
  • Akismet (Stops Spam dead)
  • GoCodes (Redirects traffic via a clean URL)
  • Google XML Sitemaps (For SEO)
  • OnlyWire Multi Autosubmitter (Submits to multiple OnlyWire accts)
  • SEO Booster Lite (Lists inbound search terms on your site)
  • WP O Matic (Autoblogging)
Please list your favourite free plugin and what it does.

:-)

You might want to do a site wide search. There already have been numerous threads started about this.

I also use the above and:
YARPP - related posts plugin so that I can help visitors find more stuff of mine and for SEO

Kouguu FB Like - So that people can like the post to Facebook

Automatic SEO Links - So that I can automatically setup affiliate links by keyword

WP-Email and WP-Print so that visitors can email my post to freinds or print my posts

Twitter Tools - To setup twitter connectivity with my posts (Takes some work though)

What Would Seth Godin Do - to have a welcome message to new visitors and a different one to returning visitors

Google Analytics for WordPress - To track traffic including adsense revenue broken down by pages

Adsense Injection - To automatically put adsense into every post (tripled my adsense income)

I test and add and then take out lots of plugins but I find that once you get a lot of plugins going it is important to check in Google Webmaster tools or use the Firebug extension for Firefox to make sure that my page loading time is still good. I see a lot of people make their sites too bulky and Google hates that and will apparently drop you in the rankings for that.

There are so many, that I will simply focus on plugins that will help you if you have an autoblog.

      1) What Would Seth Godin Do: Put a huge banner call to action above your auto-content...CPA, opt-in page, Clickank product, etc.)

      2) DDADDSig: This will allow you to put a banner below your posts. Again...make it bigger than normal to funnel traffic to an offer.

      3) SEO Friendly Images: This will use your title as alt-text for your DDADDSig banner. This will ensure that you rank for your target term.

This is a quick way to divert traffic to offers or opt-ins if you are running auto-content.
