Having read about Imnica mail here on WF I thought I would give it a try. This is my first autoresponder.

I just signed up Imnica a couple days ago. I am almost ready to throw in the towel. Creating your first list is easy but they only have 3 subscription forms. In their training video they tell you it only takes a couple of minutes to make the form pretty. They have to be joking!!!! I have been playing with the form all day and can not make it look pretty.

Then I was looking for some templates on the web. Found a couple (not free) but they seem to be made for Aweber. Tried to just drop in the code for Imnica but that was a big fail.

For those using Imnica is there some easy way to get a nice looking subscription form?

You need a little bit of HTML knowledge to make the Imnica Mail form code work with some of the templates out there, but, it's not rocket science, and can be done in as little as 5 to 10 minutes, depending on your HTML knowledge.

Form code is form code, and ours can be made to work with ANY opt-in form template out there.

As much as I would like to help you make it work, if we start offering form editing help, we will be doing nothing but that.

If you don't have the HTML skills, you can easily hire someone on any of the outsourcing sites. Paying more than $30 for the editing and making our code work with a template, will be over paying.

HTML is just one of those CORE skills you need to learn when marketing online. If you can't, or, don't want to learn HTML, then you will need to pay someone to do it for you I'm afraid.

      Wowwwww.... that response FLOORS me.

I just spent half of a day reverse engineering css html and Imnicas restrictive form code because you have exactly 2 articles about submission forms in your "support" area. How to change the word on the submit button, and how to use your own submit button.

How about one on how to use the code in a template?

      OR better yet -

How about just giving us naked code as an option too.

What floors me is your attitude here! Oh my gosh- you act like you are paying us to use you, not the other way around. You aren't the boss- we are- and if you want more than just a few tech / code wizzes as customers, you need to check that and make your support more complete.

And add a few servers or whatever it is you guys do to speed things up - I should not have to wait 30 minutes for a preview email if I want to send a broadcast now.

First off Ray, you've posted this in the wrong section. No doubt a mod will move it for you.

I'm with Imnica, and yeah, I struggled too initially. But you can actually do it pretty easily. What got me was the fact that you can actually use an image as your 'input type' for the submit button. Once I got my head round that, it was pretty simple.

Great subscription form in dreamweaver or search google for free subscription form.

Change input name to imnica field name & copy/paste hidden fields. Once come you have your custom subscription form.

    Cheers!!!

Richelo, have there been any known issues with imnica and michael dunlop's popup domination?

Never heard of the product, but, looking on their web site, it says: All you need to do is input the HTML generated and you are good to go!

So, looks it should work fine.

I decided to give Imnica a try and set up an account.

Seemed like the setup steps were pretty straight forward with good video tutorials.

I created a list with a custom name field as per the instructions. Everything looking good so far.

I then went to test the subscription form creation process with a simple email form...copied the code into dreamweaver,..tested..worked fine.

Next, added the custom name field to the form, copied the html code into dreamweaver again to test it on a blank page.....when i submitted the name information and entered I got an error:

MySql Error: Unknown column 'CustomField9136' in 'where clause' (SELECT COUNT(*) AS TotalFound FROM `oempro_subscribers_8783` WHERE `CustomField9136`="Beartest" ORDER BY `EmailAddress` ASC)

So, maybe it's not as easy as it should be. This is without any other manipulation or attempt to insert the code in a table. Just copying and pasting the form code from Imnicamail onto a blank web page.

I've been creating my own websites and capture pages for over 15 years, and didn't expect any surprises with this test.

Anyway, I submitted a ticket on it at 12:19 today...no word back yet...

I was hoping for some better news to report back. I will let you know how things turn out.

If the issues get resolved, the pricing is great!

Have you created a squeeze page having that form? If yes then just drop it here so people can check it. I haven't faced any such problem yet.

I did hear from Imnicamail's support. They thought it may have been a temporary server glitch. Not the case, the problem still exists.

My form issue has been resolved. I received a reply early this morning from the support desk. Apparently this issue was a result of a 'custom field' problem, although the settings for the field were correct. Creating another custom field solved the problem.

To the limited extent of my testing, the autoresponder program appears to be working fine now.

For the price, I believe it's worth a try. Once you're up and running you should be good to go.

    In Summary from my experience:
    Pros: Very competitive pricing

Cons: 1.Subscription Forms could use some development
2.Support and Customer service needs attention (for me, it takes too long to get responses)

    ______
In closing, I do appreciate the efforts of this service provider in developing an alternative option to higher priced autoresponder services. I hope they experience great success in their business endeavors.

      Bold added by me ...

I don't know where in the world you live, but I do know that Imnica are very likely to be in a very different time zone to you.

Add to that the fact that you raised a query on a Saturday and got a reply that seems to have solved your problem on a Sunday then I would say that their customer service is first class!

If I raised a customer support ticket on a weekend I certainly wouldn't expect a reply until Monday at the earliest from any online company and if, as you have, I did get one sooner than that I would be delighted - not dissing them for it on a forum.

My initial query was actually raised on Friday just after noon (Friday, July 8, 2011 12:19 PM).

I understand that could be weekend in some other part of the world, so your point is well taken.

In comparison however, there are other service providers in the market place that do offer live customer service, that allows for immediate resolution to customer issues. Having to wait a day to hear back each time a support ticket is updated during a trouble shooting process, can take up a lot of time.

I'm simply relating my observations and opinions here based on my own personal experience. Others will have different experiences and opinions I'm sure, and they can share theirs as well.
