any Stompernet IM Seo Course Buyers here?

Hey guys, some of you may have no idea what am talking about , but some of you may, basically my question refers to the 'stompernet' course - 'stomping the search engines' which is all about seo (and if ya don't have a clue what am reffering too I do apologise)

I have studied both course, 1.0 and 2.0 and noticed that everytime they refer to their own 'money' site 'myweddingfavours.com' as always appearing no.1 or so on the major search engines yahoo and google, ..

..Now when you search the keyword 'wedding favours' its no where to be seen?!....which I found a tab bit worrying as as a student of stompernet which does teach good seo and 'white hat' tactics, to see their exlampatory website nowhere near the top for a keyword and seemingly 'slapped'

so the reason I bring this up is in hope for other seo experts or buyers of the course can give any possible reasons for this so we can protect our own niche sites...?...

or better still anyone know what happened?...I may have totally missed something, their site still is google indexed but de-valued for that keyword...and reason am wondering is because for years it wasn't and many stompernet students implement what they say...

which from what I see is good seo and nothing 'black hat'

Their site IS number one, I just did a search for "wedding favors" on google.com (not google.co.uk)

I think you're forgetting that in the US, it is spelt "favors" not "favours" (they leave out the "u")

I searched, "wedding favours" and it came up number one in Google.
Maybe you are getting local searches that come up higher where you are? Try again a couple times, and use other search engines, too, besides Google.

Also, many here are familiar with Stompernet. They have a good reputation. Should be many threads here on them, and some may discuss their courses.

Did you search for "wedding favors" or "wedding favours" (with the "u")?

If I put in the latter on Google.com, their site is not on the first page.

If I put in the correct American spelling however, it is number one as they claim.

          Interesting

I searched on Google.com using the Firefox facility here in the UK (Google.com usually redirects to Google.co.uk over here)

          • yes thats right, google in the UK always re-directs to google.co.uk even if you intend to use google.com

another good way of getting round that is google.com/ig which will always use the google.com version and not re-direct when searching via that

              It's a very good course.
I think you'll get a lot out of it if you implement.
However it is several years old so don't get too hung up on passing page rank around within your site. Google changed the way nofollow links work after STSE 2.0 was released.

              • Being honest I havent ever 100% implemented EVERYTHING any seo course i've studied anyway, I think as long as we give good content, value and above all what the visitor wants, doesn't matter what google does, we wil be okay, so the foundational principles will always remain the same, its just good to get some fresh ideas here and there

but yeah I didnt know that...cheers for the heads up buddy
