Best Video Hosting Service?

I need to host some videos and need to know what my options are around hosting services for these videos. They need to be private so no youtube but I would like a service that allows commercial videos and has an easy to use player.

What are my options?

The best thing (in my experience) to do is host your videos on Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). Then you'll have to
get a video player like:

http://flowplayer.org/

...or

JW Player: Download | LongTail Video | Home of the JW Player to play the videos. I use jwplayer and it works fine.

You'll have to pay a little for the s3 and the players if you don't want the watermark at the bottom of your video when they play.

This is what worked for me...and I've run squeeze, sales videos, etc. Everything loads up fast.

I'll second the other Kevin's Amazon S3, and add that you should also make use of their Cloudfront distribution. Costs a few pennies more, takes a minute to add, and amazingly speeds up delivery of videos.

I've been doing some good stuff with box.net: Box.net | Online file sharing, content management, collaboration

So I can definitely recommend them... just make sure your video is in .flv format

s3 all the way. I hear there are different good options out there, but Amazon s3 has been awesome for me.

There are several web hosting package s which are only designed for streaming media like this you just need to search it.

For free is viddler..Viddler has possibility to allow ONLY you embedding videos privately, but the quality is horrible.

So Amazon S3 is probably the best, though they are not free.

Or if not, just grab Easy Video Suite. It has everything you need already for video publishing with hosting included. The cool thing is, you just have to pay one time.

Good idea to pass on You Tube. So many people's account getting shut down for tos violations as of late.

I like Amazon S3 as well!
