I came across this post http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2011/...gine-spam.html that seems to say, in effect, that Google is going after "content farms" and will be de-indexing them. An excerpt: "... sites that copy others’ content and sites with low levels of original content. We’ll continue to explore ways to reduce spam, including new ways for users to give more explicit feedback about spammy and low-quality sites.". In fact, they're apparently adding an extension to Chrome to facilitate feedback from users who want auto-blogged content-farm sites banned, per this post, Official Google Blog: New Chrome extension: block sites from Google’s web search results. It seems like the days of these so-called "content farms", created by autoblogging (right?), might be numbered. 1) What's your "take" on this? 2) Would you agree: it doesn't make much sense to start building auto-blogging sites now - given how much work it seems to take to set it up right .. per strategies like Mike Johnson's ABBP? 3) Do you think following a well-reviewed strategy such as the AutoBlog BluePrint might void Google's death ray? (I emailed Mike Johnson about this but no reply .. sure he's busy.) Thanks! Richard |

I can't personally see how on earth Google can open this can of worms without creating a "competition bomb" bloodbath! There are probably a 1000 versions of auto site blocking bots begin developed as we speak which will do nothing but run around cyber space day and night registering a "block" on the bots owners nearest competition. Insane. Not sure what's wrong with the supplemental index on dup content which works very well. The mystery of what makes Google tick....lives on! |

| sites that copy others’ content and sites with low levels of original content. another quote I remember is google is committed to user experience Surely it wont be too hard for google to figure if a site is using auto blog methods - I think perhaps the percentage of original/scrapped content will become important And if your site gets a human review, good layout is important |
