Hi I've a video which I would like to edit. Here's what I want to do to the video: 1) Remove part of it. 2) Remove the audio in the video. 3) Add to this video a new segment that I've created using camtasia. 4) Add the audio back. Currently this video is in .flv format. Can anyone share with me a software that can meet my requirement? A guy suggested I use Corel VideoStudio 12. Is there a better option? Thanks |

I use VideoPad and love it! It does everything I need it to do and then some with a real easy learning curve. Perfect for me. They are currently running a 30% discount till the end of Feb. and if you Google Videopad Bundle you can bundle other products at a significant discount....food for thought...hope it helps.

I don't think Vegas, or for that matter any non linear editor can natively edit flv files. You need to convert it into something an NLE can ingest and work with. Popular choices, depending on what program you're using, are avi, mov, mp4, wmv. To convert from flv to one of these other formats try this--->zamzar Kevin |

You would need to convert the flv to mp4, avi or other editable format. flv files cannot be edited easily because of the way they are formatted. You would then need multitrack video editing software to edit multiple audio / video tracks together into your final movie (Camtasia won't do it). MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Plus is the video editor I chose to demonstrate SuperEasy video editing, cool transitions and effects, and easy green screen video. You can get a free 30 day trial at their website. |

Camtasia Stuido works great for that kind of thing if you can afford the $300 price tag
