Default DLGuard vs Sitemanpro Anyone Used Both?

Hey Guys

I am looking for a app that will protect downloads, integrate with my AR (Imnica Mail), has built-in payment processor and includes site membership setup.

I have been looking at DLGuard and Sitemanpro (just released)
I know DLGuard is used by and liked by a lot of WF members, but how does Sitemanpro compare?

Cheers

Let me help you

SMP is more focused towards centralization & task & platform independence. Let's go little more in details:

Platform Independence - What this means is that if you build a WordPress membership site today and want to move to Joomla platform tomorrow, it will be as easy as installing Joomla, and installing SMP Joomla plugin. Your members will be able to logon to your new site instantly. If you want to launch multiple membership sites (specially using different platforms like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal or something else) we end up buying and installing different scripts. That way we never get to learn the actual net worth of our customers, our business.

Task Independence - Now, most of the membership scripts are focused on ONE FUNCTION of your business - eCommerce. Right? SMP is more geared towards multiple functions of your business. For example, with first three modules alone you can SMP to sell digital goods (using free version), run Wordpress Membership Sites (using its WP plugin), and run Joomla Membership Sites (using Joomla Membership Plugin).

Then with the other planned modules, you will be able to do a lot more such as project management, file protection, auto backups of sites & databases, invoicing etc etc.

For example, we just launched a new add-on "MediaVault" that allows you to STAMP PDF Files on the fly when customer downloads them. No other script offers that.

You can take a look at the WSO here:

Hope this helps a little. Let me know if you have more questions!!

Thanks,
Deep

Hi guys,

Actually not, that's not correct with DLGuard.

DLGuard's basic functionality (not extra plugins or modules required) offer three main parts:

1) Sale and security for your products

2) A very flexible membership system that allows you to protect your own pages, Wordpress, Joomla, and pretty much any other popular CMS system.

(DLGuard's memberships are especially flexible for developers and people who are looking to use it as their building block to creating online services and systems.)

3) A built in cart system that will display, offer for sale, and create secure downloads for multiple product sales.

So Deep, while you're correct that a lot of "security systems" are geared towards one solution only, DLGuard isn't one of them.

Just clarifying

cheers
Sam
