Has anyone used this WP plugin, http://www.easyvideopress.com ? It seems to have a great deal of the functionality of Easy Video Player2.

From what I can see I think EVPress seems to be a bit more flexible when it comes to monetization because you can simply take any youtube video combine it with any cover image of your choice (similar to PIP) which will be present while you watch the video. The moment however you click on that cover image you will be redirected to an affiliate offer if you desire so.
EVPlayer only lets you choose a "Buy Now" button which you place at the end of the video.

Apart from this I think EVPress is much cheaper than EVPlayer2 especially if you want the so-called "Commercial License" (no branding) version of EVPlayer2.

I realize that EVP2 has a lot more feature but if Josh Bartlett is not sleeping (and I don´t think he is) I assume he will integrate that feature into EVP2 as soon as possible because I think it is a key feature for IM.

I was just about to pull the trigger on Easy Video Player2, until I saw Easy Video Press. Now I will have to compare the two and see which offers the most value.

EVP2 already does what you mention above.. (And provides you with a HUGE range of other features too)

It allows you to select Youtube videos and allows "overlays" which gives you the ability to add graphics, text and links inside the video at any point as call to actions. They can last the duration of the video or multiple overlays can be set up in just one video.

You are welcome, also, if you are an EVP1 customer, log into your members area, there is a discount to upgrade to EVP2, you dont need to pay full price to do so.

I was also looking at this WP plugin and I was not awae that there was a WP plugin included in the ECP version 2

I cant seem to find it inside the members area - There are just 2 options

The New Lite easy Option and the Advanced Option - Would you be so kind as to ditect me to the WP plugin

It is included inside the download (option 2) so when you download the zip, you will find the WP plugin inside along with instructions on how to use it.

The plugin makes it even easier to use EVP2 with wordpress but lets you use the MAIN EVP2 dashboard so you have ALL the features available to you.

if you have any problems with the plugin, just contact our support team at support@easyvideoplayer.com and tell them you spoke to me and ask if they will install it for you. (They will be happy to do so)

Also, keep your eyes out for our new free upgrade for EVP2 users, its due in about a week to a week and a half and has some new very cool features I think you will like.

Once its out you will get an email and it will instantly be available in your members area with all the new features.

a) this thread is about EVPress, not EVP2
b) EVPress is focused on helping bloggers to easily publish, customize and monetize videos on their wordpress blogs.

It's flexible, does less than EVP2, and is way cheaper. It also works out of the box on any blog with just point and click simplicity. So, it's not to be compared with EVP2 which is a solution to centralize the distribution of your videos.

EVPress does not focus on your videos and is really convenient to use on your blogs. So objectively, less features than EVP2 from Josh, but just the features wordpress bloggers need to publish, customize and monetize videos on their blogs. Nothing less, nothing more. All this for a fair price :-)

What is the the cost for updates after the 12 months? And are you able to tell what updates you have planned and on what timetable?

Cost of the update is unknown yet as we don't know what we will release in 12 months from now. We have plans for a new version in the coming months (2 to 3): mostly S3 related features.

I use EVP 1 and have just come across your plugin. Looking to see what extra Ooomph your software adds that I do not already have.

The price of $67 and 12 months updates is pretty reasonable - Do you have plans to run this as a WSO for the guys on the forum?

Hi Gonzo, if you email support@easyvideoplayer.com you will get a reply from our support team pretty quickly confirming access to EVP1. Inside the EVP1 members area there is a SPECIAL offer for EVP1 members to upgrade to EVP2.

The latest version of EVP1 is available in the members area and it does include a plugin for Wordpress.
