Default Underachiever Secrets?

I just got email from one of the warrior promoting this. Wondering if anyone bought it?

Here is link Underachiever (not an affiliate link).

I haven't but I'm seriously consider getting it. I think its pretty much MicroContinuity with software. Not sure, but I'm interested in getting into continuity offers anyhow. You plan on getting it? If so please share your thoughts on it. If I get it, it'll be later on today and I'll let ya know what I think.

It is a great product, I'm actually the person on the far left of at the top of the sales letter.

You'll see me Mike Buontempo as one of the underachievers, should help a lot of people get started with their business.

Can you tell me what it is about? Is it about setting up affiliate sites or setting up sites as product owner?

Anything that Russell Brunson puts out is quality material and this product is a steal at $37. However, there are many great marketers right here in WF that offer WSOs for $7, $17, etc showing you how to do the same things as the higher priced products from the well known "Gurus".

I have some downtime in the next two weeks and have not really bought any courses for close to a year so I thought I would try this out. Haven't had a chance to dig in yet, but let me say that I was turned off by the upsells immediately after the purchase - a 97 dollar membership site, a 1 dollar 3 day trial offer, and then a 297 dollar training offer.

These things always make it feel like the initial product is incomplete to me.

The Underachievers was a course that came out over 5 years ago by Frank Kern and ed Dale.

I heard Russell bought the rights to it and jazzed it up to work with today's ways of internet marketing.

If it's anything to do with the first course it should be about building little niche sites outside the IM niche promoting affiliate products. Then when you've struck gold with a profitable niche, you then expand on it and start bringing your own products out etc

Hope this helps

James

Some of the testimonials are the same ones used in his 20 Minute Payday course.

How can we buy the course through you?
One of the applications is supposed to create backlinks right or how the sites are going to get traffic?

Go for it. Its 114 pages and I'll admit, most of it wasn't new to me, until the very end.

It really is a full course thats for sure. It didnn't leave anything out and I can honestly say I don't feel cheated by not purchasing the upsell material.

For $37 bucks I say go for it. He also has an option to pay $1 and try it out for a few days then pay a remaining $67 if you like it.

So either way I def don't feel my $37 was wasted. I learned something and good ole Mike gave me some great quick start tips, overall I'm satisfied.

If you check it out, you'll be given the opportunity to buy their "done for you" monthly membership, where they provide you with a new product each week. Thing is most of these are the same, if I may be so blunt, crappy resale products they released about 5-6 years ago, if not more, lol. I cracked open the research pdf for the niche product I downloaded, and it was referencing data from...cough cough...OVERTURE!!!! These products are quite lame, and are all over the web, including ebay, where you can pick them up for $0.25(plus shipping, of course). They are nowhere near the quality of the examples on the sales page.

I also liked how, in the discussion on how to get traffic to his flycatcher campaign, he shows a post he made in a niche forum in 2011, yet all the responses to his flycatcher/ask campaign are from....2005, lol. You know why 2005? Because in 2005, it was actually possible to promote such campaigns via Adwords. Not gonna happen these days. Google will slap those down faster than a red-headed stepchild. Now, don't misunderstand me. He's not saying to use Adwords to drive traffic to your flycatcher page now, he's just using results from when he DID use Adwords to make it look like he got those results from using his new method. That's a little dishonest to me.

Another observation. The sales letters he teaches you to make in the course look nothing like his own sales letters, nor like any of the examples on the sales page for this product. Doesn't make much sense.

Basically, this is a rehash of 6-7 year old product. If you know nothing about creating niche products, this might be of use to you, but $37 is a little high imho. Just don't expect to use Overture for your research though, lol. The "done for you' products, however, are junk. No way is it worth $97, or $47 a month, or whichever it is to get these products. They have been hacked up, used for plr content, blog content, etc, for several years now, and are all over the web. You'd be better off just picking up some resell rights products for $5.00 apiece somewhere.

It is very similar to his release of 20 Minute Payday. I think both 20 Minute Payday and Underachiever Secrets are very good products especially if you are looking to create your own niche product and don't know where to start, etc.

I think $37 is not an unreasonable amount for the product because if you actually TAKE ACTION with the information and software that he provides I really don't see how you would not be able to make that $37 back several times over.

However if you have already bought 20 Minute Payday then you really are not going to need this product because they are VERY similar. My advice would be to go back to 20 Minute Payday and go back over what you learned and then to start putting it into action.

My review:

If you've ever bought any of Brunson's products before, there's nothing new enough here to justify the expense.

If you haven't bought any of his stuff before, then get this. As much as I hate RB's spammy tactics and over-hyped sales pages, I have built a $20,000 a month business off of his teachings, and so have a lot of other people.

More than anyone else, the stuff he teaches made me money online.

I'm in the process of writing a detailed review of the product that walks you through the entire purchase experience and explains everything that you get with the training program. My review site is UnderAchiever Secrets Review.

P.S. This is not an affiliate link

Sounds good, Russ's review has helped convince me to go ahead an grab this because I've purchased one of his products in the past and know he's the real deal-and out to help others.

So Mike if you shoot me a pm with the link I'll buy and may need some tips but overall I'm familiar with most tech stuff on how to set up.

I'd love to take you up on this!

I hear numbers thrown around these forums so often that I by default doubt pretty much every offer, however at the same time I'm entirely willing to throw myself into any and every project that seems feasible, especially when mentoring of any kind from an authority is involved ^_^

Hope to hear from you soon, I sent you a PM earlier.

The original Underachiever System that Frank and Ed put out was one of my first initiations into internet marketing. It's a solid business model that does not work very well anymore on Adwords, as it's already been pointed out here.

The main difference between then and now is that back then you could put up a getto looking site without any graphic appeal, no header, just a single page sales letter, just kind of half-assing it, and you could do well.

The bar has been raised. I mean look closely at the sales pages of the guys who are serving as testimonials on RB's Underachiever sales page. Indeed, look at HIS sales page.

Look how good those pages are. Everyone one of those people is doing everything right. Takes a lot of work to create a sales process like that, so I do think the "underachiever" label is something you shouldn't take seriously.

But the essential method does follow solid marketing principles and will work for anyone who implements it WELL and with a lot of value and quality.

I am still unclear on who this product is geared to. Is this for someone who puts up niche blogs or supersites to monetize with adsense, people doing affiliate marketing, people like me who have an e-book, or what?

It's more about putting out products in little niches, and making little money makers on autopilot. I have a couple that make me 40-80 each a day and I don't do anything.

I have some small sites just like he shows how to do as well that are making me anywhere from a very small $10 to $15 a day all the way up to $60 and $80 and trust me it is nice to see that money in my Paypal account when I check my email each day.

@Mike can you please pm your skype contact

Well I went ahead and purchased last night and this product looks like it will be some help with getting organized with a simple system for putting up the information websites that I've always been interested in creating.

So far the software looks buggy and I haven't been able to get it to work at all -guess I will have to submit a ticket to the help desk. I can see the software being beneficial when it is working especially for the site building set up.

Anyone else had a problem with this software besides me?

I get a TON of emails every day from all the gurus - John Chow, Mike Filsame, Glen Hopkins, Phil Henderson, Anik Singal, Lee McIntyre - the list could go on and on. 99.9% is crap that immediately gets dumped.

Russell's emails are ones I actually open and read - maybe I just like his positive, upbeat style, or the fact that I can tell the guy's solid, no baloney, all the way through. Many of his messages have contained real, valuable information...little tweaks that really made an instant difference in my traffic & conversions.

I feel the same way about Don Van Fossen & Jeremy Kelsall, and the great Daniel McGonagle...these are the guys that form my IM knowledge pool for true continued education.

But I looked through this, and I think most IMers will not make money from these little product inventions and accompanying websites. Hard-driving experienced traffic-getters might succeed, but don't be fooled by his "average Joe or Jane" testimonials, quickly turning a home invention idea into a $3,000/mo. ebook. The internet and the market have both changed so much since the mid-2000s, and sorry, most won't see much income from this, IMHO

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this, if you have a product in a niche with hungry buyers that converts you don't need that much traffic. I actually do no traffic generation for my Stop Blushing site, gets about 70-80 hits a day from my affiliates and makes me a nice $200 a week.

I am also having issues with the software. Currently, I am using norton security suite. When the software downloads, a false virus is detected and the software will not install. After much effort, I finally get it installed.

The software will not work in step 1, but steps 2 and 3 seem to work. I contacted them last week about the issue, but I still got no response whether it was fixed or not.

Also the training videos for step 1 and step 2 are reversed in the software.

I hope I get an answer soon, I would like to start using the course.

Send me a PM.
I took Mike up on this offer and I'm glad I did!

The underachievers guide itself is amazing, but having Mike chat to me for a while about what I could do to get started as well as discussing the key points I personally needed to pay attention to in order to be successful with this was worth MUCH more than what I paid!

Thanks to Mike and Russell

Thanks for this review--Im a newbie yet I know I can get PLR products plus website for $0.50 at tradebit dot com!!
Honestly Id rather go with WSOs from this forum-Im tired of repeats/ rehashed methods from ""gurus""

proven I think you have the wrong idea of what this product is, that is not to say that you can't use PLR products obviously you would want to modify them and make them unique or even modify them to a more specific niche such as taking Speed Reading and turning it into Speed Reading For College Students.

But he also shows you how to find out exactly what people in the niche you are targeting are specifically looking for so that you can give them the solution to their problem as well as use those same people to give you testimonials, give social proof that your product is good as well as even give you content for your sales page.

This product is VERY GOOD and well worth its price. The only thing I recommend you don't do is buy the upsells which I believe you were referring to about the PLR. But as far as rehashed he bought it from I believe Frank Kern and put his own unique spin on it. This product is very similar to his other product called 20 Minute Payday and if that one is cheaper than this one then I would recommend going with that. But if you are new to internet marketing then Underachiever Secrets will help you MAKE MORE MONEY!

I bought this product to get a perspective on product creation, an area I have no real experience with. The content is fine.

Unfotrunately, there are tons of up-sells in the ordering process and they try very hard to drive up-sells via live events and the like. I never felt like the product alone was enough they way Up-sells are pushed.

About 2 weeks after purchasing I got a pretty aggressive phone call from one of his staff. At first I thought they were calling just to see if I was satisfied or needed help ETC, but the conversation quickly turned into the guy on the phone - Pete - asking quite aggressively "if I was serious about internet marketing". I told him that I already do fine with internet marketing and that I just wanted a perspective on product creation and he replied "So you aren't serious. Ok, have a nice day" and then hung up very quickly. Obviously this was a sales call of some sort and higher pressure than I think warranted for a $37 product or whatever it was.

No thanks. Fine content but I don't want to be in this companies databases if this is how I am going to be treated.

Wonder why the Clickbank example screenshots that show increasing income are from late 2008/early 2009?
