It's too bad Andy Jenkins free videos from his Video Boss launch aren't still online...they had some great content. On the other hand, here are some guidelines: -Keep your videos direct, try not to digress -Instead of having actual bullets on your PowerPoints, I prefer literally typing out what I'm saying. If you say: "I like apples" in your narration, your powerpoint should also say "I like apples" on the slide. Did you download the Camtasia free trial? They give you a pretty much full featured trial version for 14 days. Alternatively, you can get some simpler screen recording software for windows for free. |

After studying video marketing and making it my full-time business (I offer video advertising services to traditional businesses), there are many 'gurus' who teach the strategies, but what's most important, IMHO, is the effectiveness of your tools. I'm a staunch proponent for Mike Koenigs and TrafficGeyser.com. Sure there are cheaper content distribution services out there, but none as comprehensive. I'm not going to list all the features here, because the real value is greater than the tool itself. Mike Koenigs is a master at packaging his tools with super effective, how-to training programs that set you up in business from day 1. Check out his "Main Street Marketing Machine" or "Social Media Marketing Machine" deals. You'll see what I mean. But it doesn't stop there. Once you become his student (through one of his programs), he constantly adds more and more FREE content. Not only have I earned my investment back from client billables, but the value of his added content has more than exceeded the price of the original package that I bought. Go check out TrafficGeyser.com! <== not even an affiliate link |

If you can't afford Camtasia then I doubt you will be looking to spend $97/month on a service like Traffic Geyser, right? It is a great service but probably something a little further down the track. As another poster mentioned, get some powerpoints together and then download the trial version of Camtasia and record yourself some videos. To distribute those videos you can do it one at a time or use a free syndication service like TubeMogul.com to greatly speed up the process. There is also a free screen recorder called CamStudio that you can download and use: http://camstudio.org/ |

You said something about camtasia. There is a free version called "jing" that will help you get started. I agree with everyone here Andy's 3 Free videos are awesome and give you a lot of step by step information to get you started. I also heard through the grapevine that he is going to be opening up "Video Boss" course again. |

I use an old program I love called micrografx windows draw to make slides. (you could download a free version of windows draw) Then I use windows movie maker to make my video. Everything is free and I get 10-20 leads from my video nearly every day. Hope this helps, |

If you are on the Mac and you have Keynote, then you already have all you need to do slideshow-style videos. Keynote has a record function that records your presentation as you narrate and run through it. At the end, just export it as a movie file and either upload and distribute it or do further editing in a video editing application if you wish.

You could check out onetruemedia.com which will enable you to churn out quality videos with music, add text, banners, pictures etc but it costs a couple of bucks a month for the paid version - the free version isn't useful enough for marketing purposes. I use it for creating videos for cpa offers and it works well for that. It also enables you to send your videos direct to youtube/facebook. Jing is a free program, which someone already mentioned but is good to begin with - at least get started to make some videos and get the cash coming in. |

There are a lot of excellent resources listed by the above posters. I'll give you two video creation resources that are a bit odd but can work for you: Xtranormal | Presidentz Day Animoto - Video Slideshow Maker with Music |

Those Video Boss Videos are amazing! Very engaging and extremely useful. It seems though that, like alot of great e-courses, the Video Boss is closed. Good thing that those introductory videos told so much.
