I am looking at the easyvideoplayer as an option for distributing a new series of videos I've been working on. Got 1 done and 2 more to record. While I do have a dedicated server, and putting the video on my page via camtasia was as easy as pie (surprisingly!), and while we have 8000 gig of bandwidth on my server, I'm not entirely sure how quickly that will be used up if we get busy going to launch. So I signed up for Amazon S3 to distribute, then saw it said that we should use the Amazon Cloud to get it loading and distributing faster (cuz yeah, S3 by itself is horrible, at least it didn't load for me....) After reading some tutorials on getting videos to work, it was mentioned about having special "players" on your site to make them work. (This is all greek to me, but I'm learning!) ANYWAY - I remembered reading on this forum about EasyVideoPlayer, and was wondering for anyone who uses it: - does it work easily with Amazon S3 (I know it says it works with it, but the key is easily LOL) - Is it its own player? Or do I *still* need something else? It's mainly initially for just playing the videos, but I really like the features that at the end of the videos they can be clickable or take someone to order pages, and even include the buy now stuff right there (hence why I'm leaning to it over free players like flowplayer). I'm not a newbie to html (at all), but honestly until last week, I'd never actually managed to get a video on any of my sites unless I used Youtube which I refuse to use for this (for branding purposes-I DON'T want ads running on my videos). Previously I tried Camtasia and was totally lost, but I like their newest version, I'm not so dense I guess now and was able to make it work (mostly!) ![]() So obviously I don't want to waste too much time on other players etc. If EasyVideoPlayer works EASILY (in other words, I don't want to spend 2 hours trying to figure out how to embed it into a web page with Amazon S3 and Cloud) then I'll get it, but if I'm going to have a major fight and confusion then I'll take my chances with my server bandwidth. Can someone answer the questions above? Thanks ![]() Amber |

Hi Amber, I am using EVP since its launch over here, so I will answer your questions right away:-) => It's as easy as clicking a few buttons to upload your video to S3 => With a click of a button you can decide for the 'cloud' or 'ordinary' service => The player is included. You can choose from various designs, just one click. => EVP is one of the best tools I've ever purchased => In case you will run into problems, their support is better than most $2k product support teams => To show your video on your website, you have to copy-paste the code. And there is so much more to share:-) Hope this helps. If you want, I have a review on my website EasyVideoPlayer » Hope this helps. Cheers Volker |

Thanks Volker Yeah, I expect to copy/paste code lol - that's not the problem. The problem is some tutorials (not for evp but S3) were very confusing about "what" to copy/use etc. I think their "expansion" ("you could do this... or if you want to do this...") tips are more confusing than a "do this, do this, do this." Thanks for the link - I'll take a look at it. Amber |

Amber, EVP is killer! You sign up for Amazon S3...then install EVP on your own server. Once you get it all setup, you don't need to go near Amazon. Here is one of my sites that I use it on. Visual Impact Muscle Building Notice how I set up the video:
This was all done easily with EVP. Here's another site I use EVP on. Visual Impact for Women
All done with EVP. -Rusty | |
