Default Can you recommend list building guides/ebooks?

Hi,
I just started building an IM list less than 1 week ago. I am looking to ramp up on the learning curve and would like to invest in some list building guides/ebook. Doesn't need to be a WSO or affiliated w/ this site... just a quality guide you would recommend.

My budget is open, though I am price sensitive. I am a war room member, so if there's a quality guide on the war room you could recommend, that's would be ideal.

Again, I am looking for a thorough guide... not high level advice. In other words, I am not looking for people to reply to this thread w/ their 2c on the topic of list building.

Thanks!

Dave

Dave,

What exactly are you looking to learn? The actual 'how to' sort of stuff like setting up a domain, web hosting, and an autoresponder, putting together a squeeze page OR are you looking for tips more on what you should be sending to your list?

There's a lot of guides out there but they all teach different things...

Hi Dave,

The best way for you to build you list fast and is to provide free high quality WSO with solid content.

It could be in the form of a report or a brief video tutorial. Basically just share your IM knowledge and you will be rewarded with list of subscribers.

Yea, lemme clarify. I'm looking for strategies on increasing the subscriber base.

I'm not interested in the set up stuff (e.g. domain, hosting, setting up scripts).

Can you direct me to any case examples of people (who have not already established a name presence on the forums) who have done this? I feel posting up a WSO, free or not, requires a significant amount of marketing of that WSO for there to be any success or critical mass of interest.

The best report I have read on running your own WSO, even if you don't think you can, is this one that was released the other day. I don't often recommend WSO's but that one is definitely worth the price tag and will help you out a lot.

Thanks, Will. This looks really promising. Does that guide help with an existing WSO?
