Any Success Stories With Viglink.com?

I personally haven't had much success with Viglink (yet) but I know of a few that have. Viglink.com allows you to monetize links that you are not affiliated with that they cover under their program (which they say are in the 1000s).

The advantage is if the site (such as Amazon) is covered under their program, you're covered if someone from your site clicks thru and makes a purchase. You do not have to be an (Amazon) affiliate and the link can be an ordinary link to a product page or even the homepage. You don't get paid for clicks, just if a purchase is made.

Seems to me it would be great for forums and blogs that allow others to post.. there's are plugins for Wordpress, VBulletin, etc.

Anyone else use Viglink?

I'm not using it yet but am looking into it. I'm in Illinois, one of the states Amazon is terminating ties with. I'm not sure if I can use VigLinks as a workaround. They take 25% off the top of any earnings so I would use it for Amazon only.

I've been using VigLink for over a month now. I'm pleased with the results I'm showing so far.

One of the points that had me scratching my head to begin with was that 25% they take - but when you look at the big picture in that they are the "super affiliate" and you are the "sub affiliate" you are actually earning at the higher tier in most categories so it all sort of balances out.

I did the math on Amazon commissions and for commissions of $1500 through individual affiliate links translates into a whopping difference of about $2 in the end.

Not too much to worry about for the service it provides and the access to so many merchants I normally wouldn't have.

I was got with the fact that it's partially funded by Google. I look at it as being able to get in on the ground floor of something Google supports.

I've written quite a bit about it lately - I've picked their service apart. Only a couple of issues I've found - but in the bigger picture - it's pretty darned good.

I am glad you asked this question. I was looking for another way to monetize my links, since Amazon is dumping affiliates. I live in California right now, but planning to move back east, so this will save me the pain and hard ache of rework. Now, I can get busy and continue with my online projects without worry. I slowed down due to California now trying to do the same thing. I signed up today for Viglink. Thanks!

If anyone has any tips for using VigLink, can you share?

I don't know of any tips to give other than put it on as many sites as you can.. the fact it monetizes so many links is what appeals to me plus there's no special format to follow, just post a regular link!

Trying to find some way to implement it on my Pligg sites..

I looked on their website but didn't see anything stating the percentage they keep. Can anyone kindly point me to it?

Also, do they give you control of the volume of links that appear on your site, like if you don't want many links can you turn it down?

Do any of you using Viglinks use any of the Amazon plugins? I'm trying to help a friend of mine but all the Amazon plugins require an API key which she doesn't have since she's not directly with Amazon. Thanks!

True, I wasn't sure if it would affect my account if both of us are using the same API, thought there was a search limit or something. She's a heavy poster compared to me.
