Hi all, I have yet to try Stumbleupon PPC, which is now called Stumbleupon Paid Discovery..I know they have pretty low cost advertising options, but not sure if the quality of traffic is good for conversion (adsense, cpa or sales). Could anyone who has tried their ad services kindly give us some input wether or not it is worth diving into? Many thanks in advance! |

I'd say try it for yourself - it's pretty cheap (relatively speaking) @ 5c per stumble. However, the real value is in whether or not someone 'thumbs up' your page. If they don't, it's almost like you wasted 5c. Of course, if you just want eyeballs, then great, it's fairly cheap, but if you want this to kick off more traffic, then it may not work. If I had more viral-type content, I'd definitely use SU Ads more. HTH! |

It used to be that you could boost the views of an article posted over on EZA with Stumbleupon paid views, which in turn brought more traffic to your money site by having a link on the categories at EZA as a most viewed article. But now Stumbleupon rejects those campaigns. I've got $20 sitting there at SU now I'm wondering how I could use effectively to get traffic with. Anyone have a any good "working" suggestions on how best to use SU advertising these days? |

| YW. I don't really know, b/c I cut off the few campaigns that I tried early as they simply didn't have a good viral element to them. Plus I wasn't selling anything directly so it would be hard for me to answer the question either way.

Try Reddit! I had read an article sometime ago that some guy advertised on digg, SU and reddit and it was reddit that brought him the most traffic. If you want to convert, its best to set up a mix of CPA, adsense and affiliate marketing. It'd rather depend on your niche. If you're selling something which people definitely need but not all the time then go for CPA. Whereas if you're aimed at selling a specialty product like fitness equipment then affiliate marketing will be right to put up. In both these situations you can also put adsense, if you wish to. Otherwise, I'd use adsense only when there's not a very useful product for me to sell. Remember, you're advertising on social bookmarking sites which also means that a big portion of the members there are looking for FREE information. |
