Linkfarms and pricing of backlinks

How much should I pay for packages like 50 PR1 backlinks and a small collection of PR2-5 links? The good thing about this offer is that the page where these links will be coming from do have those page ranks.

I'm new to this concept but I've known of linkfarms for quite some time. Isn't it true that even if a high PR page gives out too many links, it starts losing the page rank?

I don't wanna get cheated with such good offers.

Can someone throw some light on this matter?

P.s. - I'm not sure if it's a linkfarm. I'm just being pessimistic.

can you disclose the package you are thinking of using - some other warriors might be able to shed some light on their experience better if they are aware of the service.
