So what do you guys think about Firefox's new version? Personally i like it. It definitely is faster than the previous version of FF but kinda neck to neck with chrome. I'm switching back to FF now (from chrome) as i find it more IM friendly and since it's at par now with chrome (though i know that chrome is catching up with it's extensions) . Here's a link to FF's new browser in case you're lazy to google it :- Firefox web browser |

I've been using the beta now for about a month. I really like it. Kind of hybrid between the old Firefox and Chrome. I barely use Chrome now.

Does anyone know if Roboform works with Firefox 4? I'm waiting until I hear confirmation before upgrading. I'm using Roboform 7.2.3.

I was just gonna come in here and ask what people's thoughts were! I left FF at the start of last year when I found how much simpler and faster Chrome was...but these new changes (plus the sync feature and grouped tabs etc) have brought me back (I think). Gonna have to play with it, but for right now I'm liking it (plus I missed the wicked extensions) ~Dexx |

This is great news. I heard it was in RC for a while and now we get the real deal. I'm going to upgrade now and report back stating if Roboform still works. |

Just upgraded. At first couldn't find the Tools menu. You have to press Alt for that to appear. Was looking for S3 organizer! Fire FTP now in the Web developer sub menu off of the orange FF button top left. One biggie for me was that FF would not release resources when you close a tab. After a while I would have to crash the browser just to get my resources back. This is not totally fixed. In fact in the middle of this post, FF4 locked up on me and I had to crash it again. For me, jury's still out. |

I've just read the latest news on Google and its stating that FF4 is beating IE9. Chrome is fast and simple but it lacks the plugs I need.

I had to upgrade from Roboform 6.x to 7.x in order for it to work on Firefox 4. A lot of plugins that I had for Firefox 3.6 are not compatible with Firefox 4. Hopefully the developers will start working on upgrades ASAP.

I love FF4. Love the plug-ins FF provides and its a lot faster now. I guess this was FF's answer to Google Chrome and I'm sold! I love anything open source.

I can confirm that roboform works with FF4. It was one of the reasons that i didn't try one of FF4 beta's cause roboform didn't work with some of the beta's. I've got 1 or 2 other plugins that aren't compatible yet. But that's up to the developers of the plugins to make it happen. Other major plugins already work such as seoquake, google toolbar and smooth scrolling which i use regularly. Another issue i had with the previous version of FF was that it took alot of resources when i closed FF, making FF load in the background for a few more seconds (probably close to a minute) before finally shutting off. This is now fixed with FF4. Close it and it completely shuts off without hogging up any resources in the background. Loving it so far. |

I think "The Fox4 ” t all the best and most hasophisticated of currently existing Internet browsers. The browser is faster and more reliable now , then it beta-versions. The number of its useful features increased.
