Easiest and best looking WP theme

I need some advice on what the easiest to work with WP theme is that looks decent enough just for a general IM blog, where I can integrate a personalized header.

I realize there are several but what do you guys think are the best ones?

The Bloggussion theme is awesome. My friend uses it for his site.

If your going to use a free WP theme make sure to get one that have very little buttons or any sort of distraction. The simpler the better.

the best free theme on WordPress.org, in my opinion, is Graphene. it's very easy to customize, change header and backgrounds from within it's theme options, you can have a no-sidebar sales page with it, it has a nice slider, and I think it's really slick for a free theme.

Go with free ones to start. I like smartone theme at wp.

For free themes, I always come back to Atahualpa because I can customize down to the very details from the theme options. Suffusion and Flexibility look good too but I still prefer Atahualpa because its theme options are more user friendly than Suffusion and Flexibility theme can't export/import the settings which is annoying.

I've been using The Easy Theme - you do have to give up your email, but it's free and you can customize it to suit your needs.
