Has anyone here had dealings with Dani Johnson?

I ask this because after receiving many E-mails from her company and listening to several of her audio's I was well impressed and went ahead and pre-ordered her forthcoming book.
At the checkout you are invited to 'try out' her membership area for 30 days, just $1- so I thought "what can I lose?"

I received an acknowledgement of the pre-order though no receipt and a password to access more audios. After a few days I was locked out of the area so tried to contact DaniJohnson dot com to resolve the issue.

It appears they don't answer E-mails.
They don't answer phone calls (Expensive from the UK) you leave a message but they don't return the calls.
And their ticket system won't let you register (rather, it doesn't send any login details) and have re-tried several times.

As this is a continuous billing order I submitted, giving them permission to bill my credit card monthly (which can only be cancelled by the Dani Johnson corp) I'm now very concerned that I can't use the members area and have no way of contacting them to cancel the direct debit.

Has anyone else here had dealings with 'The Secret Millionaire'?
If so, do you have a secret for making contact with this elusive character?

Pete.

I'm sure it's a glitch somehow, Dani is the real deal. I submitted a support ticket directing to this post since I have no other way of putting you two in contact, but you can also go to her FB page, as her and her staff interact there regularly. Dani Johnson | Facebook

I'm sure it's a glitch also. Dani Johnson is top notch and I've actually called and talked to her staff before a few years ago. I wonder if you are going to the right website with the right info because every time I've called, I had no problems talking to someone.

The phone number I find is (866) 760-8255 and their hours are Mon – Fri 8am-4pm CST. Hope this helps you.

Thank You for that, let's hope it bares fruit.

As for the F-B page, she openly admits to it not being monitored too well.
She did say to use Twitter in one of her latest Monday training sessions, but so far no luck there either.
I'm sure, as you say, that it is only a glitch, but if she or her company doesn't know about it it can't be fixed - Dilema :-(

Thanks for your interaction again, Pete.

You can stop the billing at any time. All you need to do is to contact your credit card company.

No one can force you to keep paying for something you do not want to receive.

      Exactly!

You just need to contact your bank/billing society which offered you the card
their is no such restriction that i am aware of which forces you to pay for something which you are not getting or which you are interested in paying for

You are the buyer and you have full rights to stop the payment whenever you like to...

the other side of the coin is:

i have read a lots of Good reviews about Dani and i don't thinks its just one of those fake things, you might have a bad time contacting the support staff but, i am sure the things will work once you get hold of them!

I don't know if you live in the UK or not, but here you 'cannot' stop a continuous billing order unless it is agreed to by the other party first. It's a part of the small-print contract you enter into when setting them up (which I already knew, but because of the 'trust' element I was more than happy to agree to).

I get the impression that readers here think I'm suggesting some fraud or something. I'm certainly NOT!
I'm merely trying to establish some contact so that the 'Glitch' which has appeared can be sorted, but with no contact avenues this is impossible.

This was the original request - "Has anyone else here had dealings with 'The Secret Millionaire'?

      Thank You anyway .... Pete.

I have had this happen to me a few times over my life. Whenever I have felt uncomfortable with an organization who has access to all my card information and I cannot reach them, I cancel the card - PERIOD.

If I'm gonna trust you with my card, then I need to trust that I can contact you. It's just that simple.

I found this thread because I am now having a problem reaching Dani's group. I purchased something and the log in info they gave me does not work. It always pisses me off when they have no problem snatching my money but then can't deliver the product and become unreachable.

I've had no dealings with her.

I know several people who have registered for and attended live training courses she's held (I think something like "weekend courses", a while ago), but have walked out at an early stage, finding significant unadvertised parts of the content (to do with religion) pretty offensive.

I'm giving no further details because (a) religious topics aren't welcome in this forum, and (b) my information - plenty of it though there is - is entirely second-hand anyway; but I'd strongly suggest that anyone wanting to get involved with her training should start by doing as much independent research as they can, including talking to people who have attended rather than just reading "website testimonials"!

Thats an odd criticism IF this is the same Dani Johnson being talked about. She hasn't exactly hid anything considering she published this in 2009

A book like that is pretty good advertisement for what you may cover in a seminar. If it was content along those lines then they were offended with no due cause.

Really???....thats pretty bad. I can see where in some cases that may be good but others where its an invitation to get ripped off very badly.

So people taking business training seminars are now expected to search Amazon to see whether the lecturer has also written religious books, and then to assume, if she has, that their content is going to be rammed down their throats in class, without ever having been mentioned in the course's promotional material at all?

I thought there were few subjects left on which your comments could continue to surprise me, Mike, but apparently there's always something else from you!

or ummm listen to her regular radio program where she pretty regularly goes into her inspiration?

I dunno if the woman is legit but goodness your friends can blame only themselves. Just look at some of those past broadcast subjects. She has hid nothing. They just did not educate themselves. No foul on her part.

and umm Its not "also written on religion" Alexa. Please read up. She integrates the two. She's allowed. shes not in public school. Welcome to America.

nd then to assume, if she has, that their content is going to be rammed down their throats in class
Jiminy!! Now there you have a point. I had no idea she kicked down doors, dragged anyone to her seminars and then shoved things down their mouth. I thought people walked into her seminars at their own choice. Why didn't you say so? and how did your friends escape being held against their will?

I thought there few subjects left on which your comments could continue to surprise me, Mike, but apparently there's always something else from you!
I practically live to surprise you Alexa. Surely you know how central you are to my world. Rulers be damned an inch is only as long as you say it is. . Word to the wise. don't input into reviews when you don't have any knowledge of who or what you are reviewing.

might help too if people planning to attend a seminar actually find out what the speaker might talk about by listening to what the speaker has talked openly about in the past. It will beat whining that the speaker should not talk about what they are pretty well known for talking about.

Good luck trying to explain that to a judge in case it ends up in court. It's a contract (in broad terms) that omitted some important aspects which could have been determinant to the decision to contract or not, and therefore one has all the legal rights to ask for a refund.

Welcome to America. (Or to any civilized country, for that matter.)

 Yes of course. If a presenter says something/believes something/supports something you do not like you have the right to sue. Good luck in that court case. lol

Thank God the America I live in is not there yet. We still have this little thing called free speech.

Don't know about the refund. Alexa mentioned nothing of that but again sorry - If she is known for integrating something into her business or life success approach and she does it in a seminar its just totally illogical to whine about it. Makes no sense whatsoever.

Would I give a refund to people who left early because it was not their bag of tea? certainly. However thats an entirely different issue from it being "unadvertised" or "cramming" anything down someones throat. So you attended a seminar without doing your due diligence. It doesn't make her culpable for that (not excluding her for any other legit complaint) it makes you.

Facts are what the facts are.

Forums are beautiful things eh?. Even when people show they have no expertise on a subject they can claim to be expertst. However to be really impressive you should have at least claimed to be a judge (but then a judge would know sans the refund as I stated there would be no case whatsoever). Go large or go home as they say.

To follow up on this comment. I kept sending support messages to Dani about not being able to access the info I bought. Finally got tired of the back and forth and wrote back to say cancel and credit my account. She never did. I had to contact my bank to dispute the charge.

Unbelievable , kinda, that they thought they were gonna keep my money (over $100), ignore the problem, and send me nothing.

My money is back in my account - thanks to my bank. Canceled that card.

I've always had the suspicion she might just be another greedy cow. She is. I have never encountered this sort of problem before, even with mom and pop operations - which she is not.

She advertises on her site that they have TOP customer service. What a crock. When you try to call, they have a stupid message on the line that keeps you waiting & waiting & waiting & waiting, but no one ever picks up the call. Horrible. Completely through with her.

There's no such thing, regardless of legal system. Just think about the abuses that could take place if such a practice was permitted.

Yes, there are conditions under which you can cancel a contract, but you cannot be forced to continue taking part in one.

And if the small print says you cannot, under any circumstances, cancel the continuous billing order, then I'd think twice about doing business with them.

She was also one of the first (or maybe the 1st) guest on that new TV show called "Secret Millionaire." I wasn't impressed with her appearance. Seemed very phony. On the show, the "Millionaire" gives away a few thousand dollars to people/charities in exchange for umpteen times that amount in personal marketing/advertising value. I was shocked to see they chose her for the show.

She tells a story of going from having $2.00+ to her name and being homeless and becoming a millionaire in a year. What she leaves out is that she didn't "earn" a million dollars. Her network marketing group "sold" a million dollars in product in one year - if that is even true. But that wouldn't make her a million dollars.

Now, she makes her living peddling products that tell everybody else they can do the same thing she did. I own one of her earlier cheaper products which was pretty good. I was trying to buy my sister a gift of another product because she just got involved in network marketing. Still haven't been able to download what I bought and can't reach anyone. When I called, the message said I was next in line and the wait would be 1 minute. I held the phone for 45 minutes and no one ever picked up the call. I'm sure this is intentional. Through with Dani.

Some of her stuff does have a religious focus - overly so - which I'm sure is over-the-top for a lot of people. What I purchased years back had zero religious tones, but she does meetings where she comes off as a TV preacher - and not a very good one.

        Thank You anyway .... Pete.

I don't live in the U.K., however, IF you didn't receive what you've paid for in an allotted time, don't you suppose that even a "small-print" contract would no longer be in force simply because upon entering the contract you were to receive something in exchange?

The seller has violated the contract, imo, (but not giving legal advice)... so there is no enforceable continuous billing order due to the seller's violation of contract... hope you get this resolved.

I know she runs a programmer type of forum which makes me want to puke, simply because I know that she is not a programmer

Otherwise, I have heard good things about her concerning telephone scripts, etc. But, I also know that the person who told me good things about her also hasn't done well in marketing at all.... so I have mixed feelings about Dani. So in the end, no opinion, but I don't consider her to be an expert on any topic.
