Please review my first Ebook

Hello I would love for a few people to review my first ebook. Please give your honest review, good or bad, if there should be more or less etc. Thank you.

Ok I removed it, will upload the 2nd edition for review! Thank you all so much for the kind words and the help you gave us! If I ask for help or a review I would never ever get upset for anyone given their honest opinion! Thanks a million!

    Looked good to me and I'm not that big into smoothies. The problem I would foresee though is the fact that people can get so much free info regarding smoothie recipes etc so many may be of the mind of 'why pay for recipes?'.

    I've not looked into the market or anything but as a general browser that was the first thing that popped into my mind. But I'm sure it would sell ok.

        Tom, if you're planning to sell the book you really should not make it available to the world like this. Someone is bound to steal your hard work.

        The topic is good, and the recipes should be delicious.

        However, there is work still to be done with layout, paragraph structure, grammar and some spelling.

        Never "center" the pages in a book, (or in articles, for that matter). The first word of each line on the left side margin must always commence at the beginning of the margin. By centering the page, each line commences at a different spot.

        The first paragraph has sentences that just do not make sense. Read the paragraph again slowly and thoughtfully, and you will see where changes need to be made.
        In my opinion, you need a copywriter to proof read the book and point out to you what changes need to be made before you put the ebook up for sale.

        Also, when quoting "facts" you must be correct. E.g. Norman Walker was born on Jan 4th 1886 and died on June 6th 1985 aged 99 years. (not 118 years)

        You show photos of some juicing machines. Have you considered going to Amazon and checking if they have juicers for sale? If you are an affiliate with Amazon, you could earn some commission if your readers purchase from your link.

        I do hope you get some professional help with the book as you have made some good and useful points, and have presented delicious recipes.

            Hi Tom,

            This is the reason:-

            Never "center" the pages in a book, (or in articles, for that matter). The first word of each line on the left side margin must always commence at the beginning of the margin.

            I can't show you the difference here as the WF has already set text to left align, but if you go into Word or Wordpad and copy into it the above paragraph, then center align it, you will see the difference.

                A few points about your first ebook, please take all criticisms as how they are intended, positive..

                1. Well done!! You have already done what most people never get around to doing and that is actually creating your own product.

                2. I agree with the other points about text formatting.

                3. Basically as a recipe book you need to format it like other recipe books. The opening few pages are not really needed. If you want to inform people of the health benefits etc then you can include that in the recipes.. e.g. blueberries are great antioxidants which is great for the heart etc..

                4. Images, images and more images.. It is crying out for some nicely photographed images of smoothies, fruit etc..

                5. Leave the big advert out and include your affiliate links within the text of the recipes. Your images can work hand in hand with this.

                6. Think about adding extra stuff like videos of using the blenders etc and this can help sell affiliate stuff.

                Also, to add if your primary goal is to sell affiliate products from it then consider making it a freebie and get it out to as many people as possible.

                Congratulations though, it is a great start!

          I also realize that I made huge changes to the grammar and spelling that I screwed it up, see my g/f is the one that wrote it were business partners and seems I screwed it up, so she is going to re-write it for me! As for the pictures and links I am an aff for amazon reason my links are in there

    I know nothing about juicing. But I know a few things about ebooks.
    1) centering is really difficult to read
    2) ad in the beginning of the ebook makes it look less valuable
    3) though, not necessary I prefer to use serif font(Times new roman, Palatino linotype). I've learned that it's easier to read.
    4) there is no table of contents. I usually don't read a book unless I can read a table of contents. So, I couldn't read your ebook.

      It's totally OK to make a few mistakes at first.
      You are brave enough to make the book and to show it to us, it means that you will succeed. A couple more "editions" and you're ready for the liftoff

    All good, useful points so far.

    You could break up the body with appropriate headlines - and also set off the recipe titles in bold face and maybe italics for the ingredient lists. It would probably help if you indented the recipes, but I'm almost certain you'd have to use tables for that - but if so, experiment with having two columns of recipes well spaced left-to-right.
    Not sure about the asterisks - I think I'd delete them.

      Hi Tom,

      Allow me to add my .02.

      I'm wondering if you plan to sell this e-book, give it as a bonus, or give it in exchange for an e-mail address?

      The content in my opinion is fine but I think you should focus more on the benefits of juicing in the beginning instead of going so in depth about its history.

      I also agree with using sub headlines, images, and videos. The PDF format allows you to add different elements quickly and easily. Take advantage of that.

      I know its niche dependent but adding formatting, color, images, video etc. can really set you apart from other marketers and command a higher price.
