Yank Silver's Instant Sales Letters...retro, but still relevant?

Hey all,

I have heard many times about Yanik Silver's Instant Sales Letters templates and how good a product this was, but I was wondering if it is still up to date and relevant these days? I want a good template to work from and I don't expect it to just pop out a winning sales letter for nothing, but still, a head start would be nice.

Cheers!

P.S

I am also considering Robert Plank's Fast Food Copywriting, so any feedback on that would be good too. (I saw Fortin gave it a glowing review recently on his blog).

Cheers!

Nick

They are pretty good as a starting point. I bought the
Yanik product a while ago. I haven't looked at them in a
long time. if you are dong internet launch type stuff you
might not find them so useful. For direct mail they are
nicely done but fairly cliched - which you would expect
    from a generic "template" product.

Lenny Eng's ebook is actually quite good and thorough. Even
though it is 4 years old or more it still covers stuff you won't
    likely find elsewhere.

    I haven't read Robert Plank's ebook.

If you haven't read Caples, Ogilvy and Hopkins you are missing
out on fundamentals you'll only get bits and pieces of from
    reading IM products.

I know Claude Hopkins has Scientific Advertising. What specifically of Caples and Ogilvy should be read?

    Hi,

What about Eben's Psychic Sales Letter? I am not too sure if it can do the job.

    Cheers!
