Hi,

I'd never heard of xRumer before - came across it by accident on the forum.

Can I ask, is it right that in addition to the $500 + price tag you also have to pay a further fee for using it ?

I've read somewhere something about paying $10 or $20 to use it ?

Yeah, you will need a VPS and probably some bulletproof hosting depending on your volume.

Just try one of those Xrumer services before you actually buy the software.

  Is VPS the same as VPN ?
  
  Hosting is with 34sp.com and Hostgator.com - are those okay ?
  
  So it is true you have to pay a user fee on a regular basis too ?

  Jane, Yes - I think it's $10 or $20 a month after the first 4 months or something like that.
  
  In addition...
  
  you can run it on your desktop, but it runs really slow, so you will probably
  need to put it on some sort of server of it's own, plus get a decent amount of proxies.

  I'm also considering Blog Comment Demon and ScrapeBox but I've referred to those in another thread.

  Didn't the Scrapebox guts come out with their own xrumer type software?

Well actually, if you're only looking for backlinks nothing beats Xrumer if we are talking speed. SB is a tool that will enable you to do many many other things, but that is in your other thread.

No monthly fee even they say there is. Xrumer is a lethal tool if you know exactly how you going to use it. If you don't, it can hurt you alot. But if you are thinking to buy the software I would wait for a few more months as they are officially releasing Xrumer 7 (it's still in beta 6). Bare in mind you won't get any support within 24 hours, sometime it takes them a few days to come back to you. It also comes with Hrefer which scrapes forums and guest websites.

I tried signing up for their trial without any success and they failed to reply to my support requests so for me, that amount of money is a big outlay considering how things have gone for me so far.

ScrapeBox looks very favourable at the moment.

lol - If that bugs you, wait until you decide to buy it, and you are told that you have to send some random dude in russia about $600 via western union to get the software

They don't accept paypal, credit cards, or any other form of payment...at least they didn't when I bought my copy(s).

They are now taking PayPal, though you then have to wait 1 week to 'confirm the payment' and activate the software....
