Media converter recommendations?

I'm looking for a quality media converter -- something that will take a wmv file and convert it to flv, mpeg-4, etc.

These are big files, so the free stuff out there ain't cutting it.

Thanks!

Bill

I use Www.AVS4You.com. Great deal and you can use all their Audio and Video products with the lifetime one time.

Should do the trick. I use it to convert videos to audio, video to video, record/clean up audio and more recently, as a video editor. It's pretty intuitive and feature rich considering the looooow price.

With video conversion, keep in mind that using 2-pass renders better quality at at the risk of longer rendering times.

You can also batch process videos. I normally do this overnight when converting my DVDs to Apple TV format for later viewing.

for anyone else looking for a free universal media converter, i use this one and it works great:

    SUPER &copy

downloads as a PC application. looks a little unfriendly but that's just because all the options are crammed onto the one page.
