What's your favorite video editor?

Hey,

I'm trying to get into video editing, and I'm just wondering which is best for someone that's *not* necessarily technically advanced?

Thanks!

Windows Movie Maker, and if you have a Mac, then the iMovie tool is pretty neat, away from standard solutions such as those mentioned above... You also have Sony Vegas, and if you use the help of Adobe After Effects Project Files (Which you can buy for $5, $10, $15, $20+) then Adobe After Effects is also a great solution.

Do you know if the earlier version CamStudio will work just as good? Although it's a free download, I heard that the output video won't work in some browsers.

I use Camtasia for most of my screencast and Powerpoint videos and it works great and is very simple to use. They also have a trial if you want to check it out. For more complex effects I will use Sony Vegas and they also have a trial available from what I remember.

Camtasia with the Powerpoint add-in is pretty much an all purpose set up for most of my needs.

I still use Windows Movie Maker. You can make some nice videos with WMM.
