Has Anyone Used CloudFlare to Track Their Stats?

I saw Cloudflare.com recommended on another forum. I thought I'd try it on one site, but it requires you to change your nameservers to route via their server.

Has anyone tried this service?

More than happy to answer any questions about CloudFlare.

This actually isn't required if you're activating through one of our hosting partners.

I have just had CloudFlare installed for 24 hours also after seeing it recommended on the warrior thread Does Google Think Your Site is Fast?

No problems changing DNS records to point to CloudFlare whatsmydns.net showing all servers around world pointing to cloudflare now.

damoncloudflare how would you get say one of your host partners like hostgator to automatically change the settings for us?

If I recall correctly, HostGator already offers it as an option in your CPanel.

I'd already created a cloudflare account for sites on some of my other hosting accounts before moving things to HostGator so I haven't tried it directly through them; I just put them all through my existing account for ease of administration.

    Hi TotalGaz,

The hosting partner integrations mean you don't have to switch nameservers. If you're with one of our hosting partners, then they will have an option to activate CloudFlare in your hosting cpanel.

I also am very interested in this Cloudflare.com, Thanks for sharing this information. I will need to check with my hosting provider if it would be okay with them.

We have tested it on few of the sites and it does help stop spammers. When looking at stats, we notice a lot of IP's being blocked by cloudflare or they get some form of captcha to prove they are not some kind of bot. It will also help you save bandwidth for images, css, js etc. They will not save pages or video content.

If you only plan to use free option, please keep in mind that you will not be able to use it with SSL pages.

    Overall, highly recommended
