Been looking into getting this to create a site for a product I have created.
And what wondering if anyone has or does use Optimize Press. I am looking to create a small product site probably through PayPal or Clickbank? Not sure the direction there...

But what are your guys/gals thoughts on Optimize Press?

Can someone link to a site they have or know has been built with Optimize Press?

Any other product similar?

Just trying to see what it's all about before I buy it this week or so. Unless I find something else. Thanks in advance.

Dillon

I was going to get OP awhile back and then Profits Theme popped up and I got it instead.

At the time, PT was only $27 so that was the main reason why I got PT. I think they're both really good and you won't go wrong with either.

I'm happy with PT even though I haven't taken full advantage of it yet.

I also use Catalyst Theme which I like a lot.

Plus I have Theme Frame which I haven't used yet

Do you use them to put up product sites or squeeze pages?

You can do both with either system.

The trick for any theme is to use it enough to know what it is capable of.

How do you guys find authority pro? The newest.
I personally find OP not very user friendly.

      I am in between AP2.0 > OptimizePress > Profitstheme.

Only thing is AP2.0 is it $97 for multisite or single site license?

I have OptimizePress. Worth it. I would advise that it's easier if you aren't a complete newb to Wordpress related stuff. And you could probably do the stuff Optimize Press does if you had a copy of Dreamweaver, a little time, some knowledge of CSS. But the speed and flexibility of OP is great if you've got the money.

I see that several marketers are using Optimize Press for squeeze pages and
sales pages, but is anyone using Optimize Press for blogging?

For blogging how does it compare to premium themes like Thesis or Studio Press?

I posted this in another thread, but figured I'd put it here, too - might be helpful.

I am not at all familiar with "Profits Theme," so can't comment on that.

But I recently purchased Authority Pro 2. I requested a refund 2-1/2 weeks later. I found it extremely cumbersome. I also had several technical issues. When I tried to get support, it took DAYS to receive a response. There seem to be quite a few nice features, but the trade-off was too great for me.

As soon as I requested my refund, I purchased Optimize Press. I had a new, great-looking sales page up in less than 30 minutes. I then created a squeeze page in about 15. Minimal tutorials necessary.

I have ONLY used Optimize Press for creating sales, squeeze and Thank You/download pages. I have not tried to create a blog. But so far, I am SERIOUSLY impressed.

ONE BIG THING!!! If you plan to use video on your site, Optimize Press has a native video player - AP2 does not. So it is SUPER simple to put a streaming video on your site. Not so much so with AP2. (I spent 2 full days trying to get one to work with AP2, and never did. I got one up and running with Optimize Press in a few minutes.)

For me, Optimize Press is the one.

Someone mentioned using video with OP....

I have lots of clients who use video on OptimizePress pages. Even though it comes with a built in player that puts up videos in snap, I am impressed with how easy it is to copy/paste external video codes on client sites or have them do it themselves under the Video Options tab.

I've used Optimizepress on several sites (mostly membership type sites). Some are sales letter type... others are membership sites (using a squeeze page to funnel people into a free membership).

It's relatively easy to setup and integrates easily with a lot of different plug-ins for setting up membership sites or single product sites.

Here's a link to a non-IM related site that I just launched last month that uses Optimizepress and DAP (Digital Access Pass) as the backend: JKDLessons.com

Another site I have setup with Optimizepress is SuperSimpleBlogging.com (this is a free video course on blogging).

I want to thank all of you for your opinions and reviews of Optimize Press, and will be checking out Digital Access Pass next - I was trying to build my squeeze pages using a dodgy bit of php code, and then inserting a decent looking button (ie: Belcher) made it impossible to get it looking right - after checking out the websites mentioned here - they look really slick! I will be purchasing my OP now - Thanks again! S

Thanks for that Steven. I've been on the fence for buying Optimize Press for a while now. Do you have any experience with Easy Video Player? If so, have you tried using it with Optimize Press (I know it has its own native video player)?

i've been using the older easy video player (i never paid the upgrade when they did a system overhaul). it works fine. the link in my sig has easy video player (amazon s3 hosted). it's got some issues with wordpress but it's the only hosted video player I use these days.

I have used Easy Video Player with OptimizePress... but these days I prefer to use Vimeo Pro for most of my membership sites.

      All the best,

I've found the combination of Digital Access Pass, Optimize Press and Easy Video Player is great. You can see an example at Screencast Studios | Screencast Video Training, Graphics, Music & Tips. They all require a learning curve but the time to learn is so worth it and support is excellent.

I highly recommend Optimize Press. I used to work with James Dyson, the creator, for a year or so when we would collaborate on sales letters. He's an awesome designer and a good guy.

Anyway you can check out my sites in my sig for examples of what you can do with optimize press. Both of them do quite well!

      thanks,
      Kevin

I use AP2, I guess they all have their pros and cons but I'm fairly happy with it. I will be checking OP out now though just to compare.

I recently started using Optimize Press and so far it's been money well spent. One thing to keep in mind is that once you have it, you're gonna want Easy Video Player The two seem to go hand in hand.

Next step is to integrate IM wishlist with it for a new site. From the tutorials I don't expect any headaches.

Optimize Press is well worth the money. One of my all-time favorite IM tools.

Here are two sites that I've created using Optimize Press:
      1. Visual Impact for Women (a Clickbank product in the fitness niche).
      2. Abs Blueprint (a free opt-in that uses OP's "perpetual launch" function).

Note: Both of these use EVP 2.0 as well. I recommend buying both OP and EVP 2.0. You can create some amazing looking pages with these.

      Hope that helps

This is a great thread discussion and I had to share my 2cents.. Being someone that is technically challenged, I found Optimizepress to be an ingenious resource for people like me. At first I was a bit intimidated, but honestly, if you watch the training videos (which they've uploaded tons recently), you'll easily figure out how to put it to good use.

Since then, I've set up tons of pages with Optimizepress which you can check one out at 6 Figure Success Formula. I'm actually converting all of my websites to Optimizepress as you can set up blogs, membership sites, lead capture pages and nearly everything else with it.

With their membership sites, they work hand in hand with Wishlist, and a few other membership sites.

As you can see, I'm crazy about this tool and can't believe this guys only charge a one time fee versus a monthly membership. It's just that darn good

      That is awesome site Nicole!

Did you customize that template at all? I don't recognize it from the "standard" templates.

Your video box also looks very unique, is that an OP video box or an external player code embedded in?
