Video sharing sites - a list

I'm sharing a list of current video sites to post videos to.

Over the years many video sharing websites have come and gone. I have just waded through a few old lists to find sites to upload some of my own videos to. I found that many no longer exist and some do not accept videos that are commercial in any way. In fact there are only a few dedicated video sharing websites where video adverts can legitimately be uploaded for free. So I thought it might be helpful to share the list here, to save time for other warriors.

Please note that there are lots of other sites that are okay for photos only and others that are okay for non-commercial videos. Also, bear in mind that this list will probably become outdated fairly quickly.

So here goes, and please feel free to add any others that you know about.
  • YouTube
  • Kewego.co.uk
  • Photobucket
  • Tinypic
  • Yahoo Video
  • Daily Motion
  • Veoh
  • AOL Video
  • boltagain.ning.com (formerly bolt.tv)
  • blinkx
Also consider (with limitations)
  • Vimeo
  • VideoJug

Strictly speaking Vimeo does not allow commercial videos but it's worth getting an account and using Vimeo as a showcase - but don't abuse it.

VideoJug are more about 'How to' videos. That may be okay for some users, but probably not for many internet marketers - it will depend on your video.

Viddler / Blip.tv / Sprout Video (formerly Motion Box) - all charge for commercial content.

Hope that is of use, and saves some people some time.

Cheers
Kate
