project management and team collaboration software

I'm a Basecamp user, and although it is a little expensive,
it's very much worth it.

I am looking at another, yet-to-be-released software that
addresses some of the shortcoming in Basecamp, but
suspect that software is a year or so from being fully
fielded.

I ask because it's helpful to keep these things in mind when researching project management systems - integration becomes a key aspect of efficient workflows down the road. Trying to manage operations through 2-3 different apps (i.e. one for CRM, projects, billing) you would be paying large monthly sums for little integration and overall an inefficient process.

It's much better to find something that suits everything you need in one system. It takes some foresight, but pays off almost immediately. WORKetc is a known example of this - integrating CRM, project management, and billing into one system, with collaboration spread throughout. The app is catered to smaller, remote teams as managing all operations through one web based SaaS minimizes overhead and encourages collaboration. I've found it to be great because it helps give insight into every aspect of a client relationship, from lead through to billing (instead of spreading it out through 3+ apps)! Worth googling.
