Need some feedback please about a product called "Double Your Likes" about getting more people to like your Facebook Fan Page. Anyone had any dealings with them, did you like the software, did it work etc. you know the stuff - Here's details from email received.

It's James Grandstaff & Ryan Ellis here from
DoubleYourLikes.com.

Love to hear from you. JayJay:confused:

You can double your likes...or mork like quadruple them, simply by intalling a reveal code that requires the visitor to "like" you before they can get what is "hidden" beneath the "reveal" page.

Let me know if you have questions about it.

I have the product and it is great. It is very easy to use, works very well and Ryan and james answer every question on the helpdesk via facebook (they even did a little video for me to help with my marketing)
I recommend it and I am using it for one of my clients and when we publish their new website we will have a link to it to get more likes.

Checkl it out here and yes if you would like to please like it!!! cheers

When I checked your FB page just now:
        - you land on the "locked until liked" page ... which is good
        - however, if you immediately click on the Wall, Info, Photos, etc you are directed to those pages. In other words, without liking the page first. Was this your intention? Because then it means all you have done is to create a Welcome Page, not a "locked until liked" page.

Thanks for the input, it sounds like a good way to increase your likes, but it seems a little shady if the Like is hidden behind something else - does this create sales, or make the liker think you stink for fooling them?

      It's not shady at all.

Marketers commonly refer to this practice as "locking until liked" where you tell them what you have for them, BUT they can't get access to it until they "Like" your page.

Real simple... just like an opt-in page (squeeze page) You offer something of value in exchange for your visitor's email address.

With Facebook - you do the same thing, but instead of hte email address, you do it for the "Like"

A lot of people are doing both on Facebook.

It's powerful and works, which is why lots of people are doing it.

      Hope this helps

I just bought the product and will give you my review, but so far expectations dropped off the cliff after the two ridiculous upsells. It leaves you feeling like you bought a piece of crap unless you pay them another $150 to get the deluxe version.

I don't know why inexperienced marketers keep abusing upsells. They have a purpose, but not like this. It's short-sighted because I won't trust another product from these guys again.

Regardless, will let you know how this product does for me or if I'll be taking advantage of their 60 day money back guarantee, which is the only reason I haven't cancelled my order at this point.

I am curious to know how it will keep up to date after March 31st when we can no longer have Facebook Fan Page traffic arrive automatically at a Like to Reveal landing page.

Visitors will see your chosen Timeline cover photo, which cannot have calls to action on it. I am guessing from now on the name of the game is getting people to that page, but it won't be as easy as showing a Like to Reveal page to non-fans at first visit anymore.
