Hey guys,

What are the best Paypal alternatives that have the same functionality and ease, but without the issues. I just tried to make a payment for a mentor program with Tristan Bull, and unfortunately Paypal won't accept my credit card because I'm not a registered user anymore. I have searched the net for the solution to the problem, and seems that hundreds of others are having the same issue.

Has anyone received the "The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number." message, and how did you get around it?

Additionally, for selling products on my site(s), what's the Paypal alternative as not all customers will want to register for Paypal?

Thanks in advance!

Never had any issues. Pay Pal has pretty responsive customer support in my experience. What did they tell you?

As an fyi: I've sold to people all over the globe with that Pay Pal button. The global reach is very nice. Just sold to a guy from Lithuania for example a couple of days ago.

I just purchased from someone in Kuala Lumpur on here not even 2 days prior. This is the most frustrating thing ever that Paypal is like a huge dictatorship, and I don't know who told you that they have good customer support. That's absolutely not true, hence the reason I don't use them now. They allowed someone to send me an empty box in the mail, but since it had a tracking number, I had to politely have my attorney send them an Intent to Sue letter for my funds to be returned to me.

      I'd rather use an alternative.

A large part of the problem here is that you think PayPal had something to do with someone sending you an empty box.

I'm not going to even dignify this with an answer.

Hi, AlertPay is a good alternative to PayPal, very simple to use.

Although they have slightly higher fees than PayPal for sending and receiving money etc.

            Thanks

Why not? All PayPal does is pass money from one person/company to another. You should have gone after whoever shipped the empty box. How is a fraudulent merchant PayPal's responsibility?

The only reason paypal would not accept you credit card even though you your not a registered user is because you must of had an account with them linked to that card that was limited. You would have to clear all your issues first before they will take your card, or just use another one.

My account wasn't limited. We requested that it be closed. Not even 2 days ago, I just used it to send $400.00. So, guess there is no answer for why they are doing this. One should not have to register with them to be a consumer.

And you're surprised that this is not the same thing as never having registered in the first place?

Wiredpay is an alternative solution for payment process, but because it is new. So it is not popular.

Plimus, digital river, and 2checkout are alternatives as they accept paypal as well as other credit card processors. Honestly, I do not like paypal at all and I'm currently using strictly google checkout.

I'm looking into Plimus as well, do you know how much they charge you?

2checkout is another alternative but they charged 10% if I'm not mistaken, and I also read that their currency rate is 2.5% higher than currency exchange in the market when you want to withdraw to another currency. It's very high to my liking.

  • have you contacted paypal to ask them about the problem? did you try going up the support chain and getting support from someone that knows what they are doing?

I always ask for level two support at any place I need support from. Most of the time, the level one supporters are just answering the phone and reading out of their instruction book.

The problem is Paypal is trusted for the most part my the mass part of online users that know about it. Using another service could hurt sales but you should always have a backup method.

I haven't had problems with paypal. I do know moneybookers.com is another alternative. You can also look at 2co.com Their fees are a bit pricey though

    Sorry!
You will never find an alternative to paypal.
People have been searching for that alternative long before paypal can to existence, and they are still searching for it and even hereafter.
