Best WordPress Membership Script that works with WSO's....

Hi All,

I was wondering your opinions on membership platforms for a WordPress site that also works well with WSOPlus?

I have both DAP and then RAP. RAP seems to be a bit more technical in its requirements and configuration.

Are there other plugins with affiliate options that are simple to add products to a members area, manage and report on member data and earnings, affiliates and earnings, etc.

We plan to use WSOPlus on all of our WSO's, but we are also planning to hook up our own platform to build our own base of affiliates as well.

We just want a simple, easy to use system...that's so well tied and friendly with WarriorForum...we don't want to second guess it.

Ideas guys?

Recently got the WP Buy Now wso. Looks easy enough but just beginning to implement.

Does it easily tie in to the WSO Plus System?

    Thanks in advance.

    DaronBabin,

Why not use DAP? I've tried DAP, Amember, WP-Ecommerce and another(Name eludes me at the moment). I found DAP while a pain to configure properly, works perfect and has built in WSO integration.

      I think thats the thing.

DAP is a pain to configure. We're creating some amazing info products from some of the best programming ever done on WebmasterRadio...And bundle it with content both article, PLR, MRR, Mini-Sites, Live Webinar Training, you name it.

      That's the idea!

Simple member solution, easy to set up...easy to tie to WSO PLus, and Easy to work affiliates independently versus hooking it up with some of the networks.

I've heard good things about WP-eMember. You can find it at tipsandtricks-hq.com

DAP is compatible with WSO Pro. When listing your product, there is a field for IPN forwarding. In that field, you would type http://yourdomain.com/dap/dap-paypal.php. This will activate an account in your DAP software. NOTE: The title of your WSO in WSO Pro MUST match the product name in DAP.

Take a look at WP-File Lock. Search: WP File Lock / Member Champ

It works seamlessly with WSO Pro.

As mentioned above, DAP is also a very strong system with great support.

I know this thread is a few months old, but I was just looking for the same solution.

Can anyone suggest what is better to work with WSOs?

*please do not suggest DAP to me*.

I've tried it, Paid for it. It sits no where now because it was too tedious to work for me.

So I have no desire to work with it again. And as mentioned, your WSO title *HAS* to exactly match in DAP, and if you bump/adjust it, you'll have issues.

I need something quick to set up but that will be flexible enough to work with future wso offers. (i.e., a series).

I've been eyeing Wishlist member and came across yourmembers.co.uk.

It also *must* either offer secure downloads OR work with Amazon S3 which I do understand wishlist works with? (Amazon S3 Secure Video Streaming – S3FlowShield)

For those running wso's - what have you found to work best for a mostly simple download area?

          Fixed that for you.

DAP was the right answer then, it's still the right answer now. Anything else that does what you want will have similar restrictions and complexity, so if you can't be arsed to figure out how DAP works... well, the other answer isn't going to be any better.

In fact, the other answer is probably going to be worse, because you won't have DAP's world-class support.

I recommend you get your money's worth out of DAP by buckling down and making it work. If you'd rather throw more money at the problem, feel free, but you'll have to learn just about as much stuff to make that work... so you'll just spend more money and still have the same problem.

btw - I'm not a programmer, and when I used DAP, I felt like I had to be one, so please consider that.

However, if its much more user friendly, I'll probably consider it if I decide to go the membership way.

I've actually used MANY different programs (not wishlist or amember). I think when I had DAP, I gave up and went to JROX.

I agree they have lots of features... but not necessarily "quick and simple" solutions. (At that time anyway).

We use wp memberchamp and it works great with wso's.

Works with both wso pro, clickbank, and now with our favorite JV Zoo as well.

To protect our amazon S3 we use S3 Flowshield which also works great. Both are wordpress plugins.

Both of the products are by Jason and Wil and Rock! Actually the guy that created WP Memberchamp for Jason and Wil is the same guy that works on (codes etc) for JV Zoo. So you know it will work with wso's and continue to be supported :-)

Well worth the money and seriously can be set up in like 2-5 minutes!

Heck we clone our sites with the plugins already in place and its good to go after we just change like 3 text fields for each new product!

I have not used the WP Memberchamp script, but it does look like it would be much easier than DAP. However, DAP has many more advanced features (like content dripping, product bundling, dime-sales, multi-tiered membership levels).

So, if you need more advanced functions then I'd try to suck it up and learn DAP (or better yet - hire someone to help you).

If you just need something to protect your files, one membership level, and are only going to be using PayPal, then you might try something like the plugin Dr. Dan mentioned as the quick and easy solution.

Great - thanks! I'll check it out. Is it somewhere in the WSO section?

Yeah, I don't honestly need everything that DAP does. Funny - a few years ago when I was using it (Trying it) and trying to make sure it works for what I needed at the time, it DIDN'T do what I needed, even though it had a lot of features. (And it was a bear to make work).

Content dripping is great, but I don't need those for this.

Is there any documentation or how-to integrate WP Memberchamp with JV Zoo?

Why exactly do you need to to work with WSO Pro? Just hook up the payment link like with your website.

    DAP is great...

RAP with member plus is a great alternative...

WP Buy Now works (they are finally getting bugs worked out)

WP Member champ is similar to WPBN with less features so I'm sure it would work great as well...

Another low cost resource you can use is "WSO Pro Guardian" by "Wortell" (Bill Ortell) its not exactly what you want but you can easily create a protected members area using it...

I have used all of these and they all have benefits/restrictions so you just kinda gotta pick one and make it work for you...

I went through tthe same thing (and still am) so I can understand. My advice is pick one and learn all it's "quirks"

P.S. Another one I've used is WP Access but I think they went out of business as the other day I logged in to my membership site that uses it and it said I needed to register my license for that domain and when I went to their website it said the domain had expired... (was a parked page)
*edit* I just checked the WP Access site and it's back up - so that's another option to consider.

I have been using RAP with WSO Pro and I have had no problems. I recently did a WSO and use RAP fro my front end and for my OTO and it worked perfectly. I have been considering DAP, because of Coby, as it does a ton of great stuff.

I was just checking this out last night, and I came to the conclusion that s2member looked a very good candidate for integrating with WSOPro.
