Are there Any Good Internet Marketing Chat Rooms

I remember a good one that closed about two years ago, started getting spammed with help requests and that kind of thing belongs in forums.

Darned if I can remember the name of it, I'll ask around because they might have moved.

I don't know of any that are always open but I know of two that offer chat at specific times.

http://www.talkmarketingnow.com has scheduled shows with specific topics and hosts, but there is also open chats built in at various times throughout the week.

As Tina pointed out, I have one that was started a year ago at: http://www.LiveMarketingChat.com/

We meet at 8pm EST / 5pm PST Friday and Saturday night.

I am there on Saturdays, and other people run the chat on Fridays.

You are welcome to come and listen, and if you feel comfortable doing to, to also participate via text chat, audio or video.

How about setting up a group chat on Skype and then invite like minded people to join you there. You can choose to invite people who are interested in a specific topic, or people who live in a specific area - it is totally up to you.

If anyone behaves badly, or you find that some members don't bother to contribute, then no problem, you simply eject them.

I am part of a 30 strong group who happily chat about anything and everything, usually related to IM but now and again some personal chat also creeps in.

It is good fun and we learn a lot from each other.

Hmm... never noticed that.
It's true, I know the difference between the constitutional right of free speech and sh*tting in the middle of someone else's house.

Unfortunately, in my experience whenever somebody is complaining about their "free speech rights" being infringed - they will reveal a total lack of knowledge and understanding of constitutional issues during further discussion about details

Good points made indeed and I certainly didn't mean that free speech is outlawed as some think it is. I do however think that if you have a negative (and in some cases neutral) view of something, in 99% of cases you are best keeping your views to yourself.

Of course I don't go in the off-topic forum where I'm sure there is active discussion on an ongoing basis. This would be the closest thing here that the OP seeks.

Feel free to add me if you want to chat to a like minded internet marketing person. Or yes create a group on Skype as someone else mentioned.

I love the forum though. I find it so much more readable than chatting

I don't make a direct profit from operating a live chat.

I make friends with people involved in online marketing, and I learn from some of the smartest people in this industry.

The benefit received from having the chat is the connections and education it offers to me. And I would not give those things up for anything.

  lol ok i fixed it... the "bad words" filter was seeing the "hell" in hello...fixed it...we are going to have some featured IM's on it soon...now its just general chat
