Site Sales - Norman Freeman

Has anybody purchased this software/system:

SiteSales.com > Home

It's offered for $497 plus $97 per year through a JV 'webinar'.

This seems to be a powerful new system for building sites
but I didn't hear a single word from anybody about it yet.

I have purchased the system. This is quite new, so we are a little bit beta tester, but very soon it will be a complete system, and it gets better and better every day, and Norman Freeman listens to every wish we ask for feature.

So this is a really exciting system, I can recommend.

I have had some problem and we personally conversated through skype, and everything is really a very good, and goes into the right directions.

With this system I will be able to put up any IM business in the matter of hours.

For example just today Norman made a solution for "Template design".

The reason for this system is not to have to code anything. This is pre-coded and we cannot mess around to code anything, which is good for the system not getting goofed up.

One example: I wished coupon management, and this will be there. I have had a wish for Imnicamail, this will be there.

I have some other conversion boosting feature as wish list, I am sure, everything will be in the system.

So definitely we are helping Norman to make the Sitesales system really helpful for IMers.

I am over a very long story with this sitesales and it didn't worked at all. The bugs were not fixed, the support was very poor, after 1,5 month I asked for refund.
The best thing, it went through, so I am richer with an experience.

Mike Filsaime recommended this service personally, but after 1,5 month even, it looked as a non-existent, non-working service. I gave my trust, my money, but this was not a good choice.

I don't undertsand the whole business principle of this, nor Mike Filsaime.

    I cannot recommend this.

My Team and I loved the idea, but I'm sad to see it didn't work out. I think I'll try my hand at building something similar as there's definitely a need in the marketplace for a working version of this.

        Hi Chery

I also just purchased this product to take this for spin

looks like it has some really great features plus the unlimited cloud hosting was a nice perk

the idea would be to use this with the automated webinar platform

that would go right into payal

        on the surface looks great

        lets keep each other updated

        happy holidays

This doesn't work. Some features look ok when Norman demonstrates, but when you go into the system itself, you cannot upload videos for example. That was one of the major selling points of the system.

The support is also very poor. Raised an issue and 2 weeks down the line no one has responded.

I respect Mike Filsaime for his innovative products. This partnership with Norman on this doesn't look too good though. Like someone said, looks like it's still very much in beta.

I'll bet someonelse sees this idea and creates something similar or better.

    Same thing here!

Many bugs and there is absolutely no replies to my support requests.

I do NOT recommend it at all at this stage... although, if they do put the effort to make it work it would just be a great and perfect system for all.

I have received several emails about this in the last 24 hous. Watched the whole pitch through the magic of software that speeds up these WAY TOO LONG webinars 3 times the speed.

Glad I checked here...it sounds good but apparently they are having plenty of issues.

I don't like the fact that this was apparently launched early August 2011 and there is only one positive reveiw on this thread...or anywhere else that I can find.

Support seems to be a huge issue here too. It's one thing to have some issues with a new platform that attempts to do so much but you would think that they would bend over backwards with over the top support for two reasons.

    1) It would simply be the right thing to do.

    2) It sure would help sales!

If I had come here and found that there were a few issue but then they were promplty solved, I would have already hit the buy button.

Would love to hear more from those who purchased and said they would return to let us all know.

I've been testing this out for the last two weeks and I [wish I could] say this might be the best IM product that I've ever bought.

      In theory

But I'm sad to say that a lot of the functionality of this product is still very early ALPHA and there doesn't seem to be any activity inside the site since early December.

I'm going to play with it for another week or so then get a refund.

This could be a killer product if it hard the right team behind it.

I'm really truly going to hate not having this in my arsenal.

I just finished watching the replay of the webinar myself and have a great need for a product like this. I was just about to purchase, but then I stumbled across this thread.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a positive review of this product anywhere.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to just go the traditional route until someone comes out with something like this that actually works.

If anyone is using sitesales with success, I'd love to see some live examples.

Any recommendations from any warriors out there for something similar to this?

    Thanks,

Hmmm. I was just about to buy this as I am on Mike's list and this is the second time in 6 months that he has promoted this system to me. I really do like Mike's products (Butterfly Marketing, Magic Cart Button, etc.), but the sales video seems a little too good to be true expecially with all of these problems people are mentioning on this thread.

I watched the webinar replay. It is an impressive concept and sounds good. I am sure it will be perfect some day.

Of course, I had to do my due diligence and here I am. Does anyone have a recent update on this program?

Would make life easier if I could take an idea from concept to completion in 10 to 15 minutes instead of hours.

Just to add some updated feedback. I bought this back in January 2012. I just started exploring it a week ago. I have noticed several rather substantial updates in the last couple of days where I had seen nothing for 6 months...

I'm going to use this for simple sites to start with. Putting up stuff I have resell rights to, some squeeze pages with videos, etc. - I am NOT going to jump in and try to duplicate or migrate any of my large production sites from WP, DAP, and OptimizePress.

As for support, I have had zero problems with it and, in fact, it has been quite extraordinary. Here's a screen shot from today with a question I had (FYI, the problem was MY computer, not SiteSales):

      http://www.screencastprofits.com/ima...sponsetime.jpg

I think an 11 minute support response time is "acceptable". ;-)

My take is this is not a cure for cancer...and I wish there were more templates (Man! This would be kick-butt with those!) but I think I can use it to fill a need for getting small sites up quickly.

I'll post a link to a test / production site when I get it up.

Hey guys - here is my unbiased opinion. I'm not a customer but I did watch the webinar and I didn't buy it yet (I don't need it yet).

    1) If they can iron out the bugs, the price is exceptional. No question.
    2) Mike Filsaime's organization doesn't see big enough to pull off something like this on the first try. There are plenty of bigger companies who have web creation tools (drag and drop) that have far better funding and resources to do what he's trying to do.
    3) Filsaime seems to have diluted his efforts across many projects, so I'm a bit sceptical that he can iron out the bugs
    4) All that said ... I'm impressed with what he's done with Evergreen Business Systems. They've launched MANY updates over the last year and I wasn't expecting such a solid support system. I am a customer of that product and I'm very happy.

So - conclusion is that SiteSales is probably too early to buy, probably more than he can handle, but then again, he surprised with with EBS. If he delivers the goods it is a no brainer.

In business, there is always a trend towards feature integration. So far nobody else is offering the kind of feature integration as what Filsaime is trying to offer, so kudos to him for having the vision.

Hey guys I came across this from Lon Naylor who I follow for his amazing VSL training and when I saw his video of SiteSales I was very interested in learning more so I watched the entire webinar replay from start to finish. SS sounds like it could really be a true game changer IF everything was working properly and customer support was top notch. I can't understand for the life of me HOW Mike is allowing the customer service to be so poor especially for a high ticket product like SiteSales at $497 one time. Just doesn't sound like his way of doing business.

My question is this... I already own MemberSnap and it works well but is certainly missing some features, how does it stack up to SiteSales or is there ANY OTHER system that comes close to what SiteSales has to offer? Sure would be nice to have ONE WP Plugin that could do what SiteSales can do at a price of under $100! Anyway, keep posting updates and if ANYONE has some examples of sites they have set up with SS please post the links here.

Interesting to see this thread. I think the advice to check out Norman Freeman (whose name got so tarnished after his appalling support for Viral Inviter) that he went back to using his real name - I think that is good advice. Just google "Poor support, viral inviter".

I've spoken with Norman once, and he's really nice chap, and probably an ace coder with good qualifications too. But he is not resourced enough, it seems, to handle both support and development issues. I bought resale rights to Viral Inviter which ran on a platform then called Bazaar, which became an aborted launch called Prometheus, and is now white labelled with Mike Filsaime as Site Sales.

As a platform, Bazzaar is ok, but it has shortcomings but there is NO support. I've written to Freeman Janssen in Germany, I've skyped, I've phoned, and sent email after email chasing ticket after ticket. Nothing.

I am writing this for Warrior members not as a gripe, but to share my experience on the support issues for any product with which Norman Freeman is associated. It may be different with SiteSales with Mike Filsaimes' name behind it; I hope so. The product may evolve with Mike Filsaime behind it. The support may even be good with Mike Filsaime behind it. Again, I hope so.

But be careful, and if you buy it and dont get support, hit the refund button in good time, and before Paypal can take up a dispute on your behalf.

Although the idea behind this product is great, I'm not convinced that the founder is able to handle this because to run it like the kajabi platform you need lots of ressources, experience and some people which are able to develop the necessary customizations.
Not to mention the administration/maintenance of infrastructure.

If you make a short internet search about Norman Freeman, his former products, about sitesales.com and when you are eventually really convinced that this will last more then 1-2 years then go ahead.

Her'es an update for Warriors about the SiteSales Platform which I have now invested in. I have resolved my past issues with Norman Freeman amicably, and I still think he's a jolly good chap!

Now it comes to the nitty gritty. First, the webinar offer for the Evergreen Business System in my opinion was just about unbeatable. Yes, SiteSales is a product in development, and it's not available for sale as yet although there is an impressive website detailing features.

I'm going to stay with this one, and like another poster to this forum will use it at first for some simpler, new sites to see how it performs. My take is that if it launches into the public domain, it will no longer be in Beta, or alpha, whatever the official status is as at August 2012. If it doesn't launch, and there's no progress in development, it will just quietly fade away. I hope it launches, and goes from strength to strength.

I bought sitesales in the hope that it would delivery on its "solving all technology issues" promise and off the back of the cliaim made by Mike Filsaime in the sales page that "if you don't like the product - for any reason - just send an email to support@sitesales.com or call us and we'll send your money back in a snap".

Customer support was very fast when dealing with technical issues but for me there were too many things that simply didn't run smoothly. So after a week or so I asked for a refund in line with Mike's promise. Suddenly, customer support lost its zip. It took three days for them to contact me. To their credit they agreed that my refund request was valid. However, for some reason they have said that it will be made in approximately 6 to 14 business days. When I complained about how long this was taking this was their reply:

"We are refunding you in accordance with the 'no questions asked money back' promise.
There is a procedure to follow and refunds are processed on a first come first served basis.
I will relay the message to billing that you are requesting a faster return and would really appreciate it.

      Thanks.
      Warmly,"

My refund request was made on 17th July - I am still waiting. I will update you on my progress.

MMBS is Mike's Filsaime's project that showcases SiteSales.com's operational capability... that's just my take.

Mike has the products which you are licensed to sell, and SiteSales.com is the

I'm sorry to hear that. I had a different experience and raised six tickets on different issues. After a lull of about a week and a bit of chasing, all six were answered. It's clear the software is still in development, and contact with those of us who bought into the opening offer is non-existent for now. I assume that at some point Mike Filsaime will launch the product and at that point we can 'hope' that support will be normal for a live product.

That said, applying for a refund under the terms of offer and receiving no reply is very bad news and poor form. You could try Mike Filsaime's main site Mike Filsaime Official Website and BlogPersonal Blog of Mike Filsaime and hit contact which takes you to his global help desk, TheHelpDesk.com | Managed IT Services | Cloud Computing | Dallas, TX. All the products are there including sitesales so you could try making a noise there and maybe even raise a ticket on more than one if you want to be noticed.

I still believe the offer was a no-brainer and that the value will be realised many times over when the software is finally launched.

      Good luck

I have bought and tested it a few months ago. Like many say here, this does not work, many features have bugs and some buttons, like uploading things, don't work. The Support is horrible, they keep saying for months the system will get updated, but nothing happened. The video How To's are outdated and many referrals in there to system functionalities which are not there anymore, or have changed. They also promise to add new content on a monthly basis which they don't. Took me three weeks to get a refund , via Paypal and support desk. Basic questions are answered by the support desk, but questions about bugs and non functionality are not. In many cases you get answers like: "will be fixed soon". I see the same even in this thread. This product has great potential but it was and is just not ready for launch, so it is weird they still send around sales videos to join.

If you go to SiteSales.com and click through the links to the Signup page, it says "We're opening very soon - invitation only". The offer is 10 sites for $99/month.

I think it is pretty much established in our industry to launch in the beta phase which provides cash flow for development and feedback. Think Warrior Forum for example.

Where Mike Filsaime is falling well short with SiteSales is in keeping in touch with people who buy into the beta offer. They do not provide any updates as features are added or bugs fixed, nor roadmaps and it seems as if the project needs a good leader. There are many help videos listed for members but not uploaded (or not created) as yet.

That said, the product features on Mike Filsaime Official Website and BlogPersonal Blog of Mike Filsaime and I choose to have confidence that the product will mature and launch. When that happens, the pre-launch offer will look phenomenal value.

The fact they mention: "Opening Soon" is nonsense, this product is live and sold since almost two years, you can even see that in the training video's where Norman goes through the system with people who bought it in live webinars. I got that email about "private invitation to join Site Sales" 3-4 months ago, it looked great so I joined, and then found out it is full of bugs and you can't get even the sites up and running. They also said they add 2 new products every month, which tthey did not. Then it took 3 weeks and countless emails to get a refund. One of the answers I got is that a woman was handling all the refunds but it would take some time because she had so much work to do, she handles all refunds on all MF products LOL. This was in full written in the email to me when I complaint about not getting the refund. How can you sell a product, even if is a beta phase, if it does not work ? I joined several beta phase products, you get a low entry price and help testing the system. That is OK. But I have never seen a beta product at that price level nor a product that simply straight out does not work. And in the personal invite sales video there is no telling of any Beta Phase, as you said, that is only stated on their site.

Well...either way, we're talking about this in both some positive and a negative sense, sitesales.com wins. It's getting talked about,as has been the goal of Norman Freeman, which is why they offered the "full" service for a fractional cost.

It's a great idea, but a very bad Minimum Viable Product, and running for 2 years with crappy support response period. I think their support ticket system for help@sitesales.com is messed, which is why tickets are just not getting the attention it needs.

Anyway... running into 2 weeks now and still no refund! Already set a Paypal dispute to see where that goes. As a buyer, I never really initiate a Paypal dispute in support of the community's businesses, and sadly this would be the first time.

It taints my perspective on Mike Filsaime lead products.

If anyone of you would create a similar, but better system, let me know!

In response to a support ticket sent to SiteSales a couple of days ago regarding the future viability of the platform, I was advised that the project has now been taken over entirely by Mediacode, the German company that built the core of SiteSales initially.

I have just sent Norman Janssen an open letter which I attach below, for his response.

Perhaps there is a glimmer of hope for SiteSales after all?

    Hi Norman

It is great to hear there are changes happening at SiteSales! I purchased SiteSales some months ago, like others, through the Mike Filsaime webinar, and I am hoping that this is good news for customers, and in particular us early adopters who had the faith to risk $500 on a very new, and untested platform.

Because I know that many people who bought SiteSales through the Mike Filsaime webinar are unhappy with a number of aspects of SiteSales and it has up till now failed to deliver on the lofty promises made, I am posting this as an open letter on the Warrior forum, and invite you to respond there:
    http://www.warriorforum.com/internet...n-freeman.html

As you are no doubt aware, there has been considerable negative feedback about both SiteSales and other products associated with you (or Norman Freeman) on various forums and the Warrior Forum - concerning ongoing bugs and technical issues, poor support, and lack of response to refund requests. I am writing to you, as the owner of Mediacode, to give you the opportunity to comment and hopefully me and other early adopters that SiteSales will soon be out of 'Beta', and will be a viable platform moving forward.

I acknowledge that it isn't easy to get a 'balanced' picture from comments made on the internet, and so I wanted to give you the opportunity to respond to these concerns personally.

To be quite honest with you, due to the apparent lack of progress on the SiteSales platform and poor communication from the company, (not to mention the numerous complaints of bugs and lack of support from other users), I was at the point of writing off my US$500 investment in SiteSales, and moving over to Kajabi, when I was advised today that Mediacode has now taken over the project.

Although the functionality of SiteSales has been very much in 'Beta' (some have said 'Alpha') for quite some time, hopefully now with Mediacode taking over the project in it's entirety, you will now be putting these issues behind you, and SiteSales will indeed become the platform that has been promised.

    My questions to you are:
    1. When do you anticipate that SiteSales will be out of 'Beta' phase and ready to actually launch?
    2. How is the development and support of SiteSales being funded. Can you assure customers that you have sufficient financial backing to fully support, and realise the potential of SiteSales, so that it will become a viable alternative to Kajabi, FusionHQ, etc?
    3. Do Mediacode have the expertise - not just from a technical software development point of view, but from an internet marketer's perspective, to grow the product and keep pace with emerging internet marketing trends?
    4. There are references on the internet which suggest that you Norman Janssen, and Norman Freeman are one in the same person. If so, I can understand that there may be a legitimate reason for this, but in my experience, people who use alias's usually do so because they have something to hide. Do you care to comment on this?

    Thank you Norman.

I look forward to your response,

    Kind regards

any updates from your open letter
Hi Eddie! No direct response, although support did respond to another query.

With Mediacode taking over the project and the transition/rebranding to Prometheus, I'm giving Norman the benefit of the doubt and assuming that he's been too busy to attend to my email and it's fallen through the cracks.

I would have thought though that a direct response here on the forum would be seen as a good opportunity for some positive PR to counter the negative impressions people have generally had - certainly on the WF.

For my part I have paid the $97 required to renew my subscription in order to transition over to Prometheus. As mstride said in the previous post, this gives 18 months - recognising that for most of us the subscription is renewing 6 months before it is due.

Norman and Mediacode *seem* to be committed to the platform, and unless it all goes pear shaped, despite the shaky beginnings things are now looking more positive.

I'll send a reminder and invitation to Norman to respond directly on this thread. Watch this space...

        Cheers

Did you ever get a reply to your letter? I renewed my Site Sales account with the new Mediacode last year following a good pitch with lots of promises about upgrades. Nothing happened. The product seems like it is stuck in quicksand. That's too bad because it had a lot of promise.

    thanks

    thanks for the update

I had originally purchased and kind of waited for the bugs to be ironed out before actually moving ahead with some sites.

I read some terrible reviews and would hope that these guys can match thier vision with the product.

can you imagine investing time and money setting up sites with promotions and winding up floundering because of the platform

it all sounds good when your start up but trying to actually build a business on a weak foundation is a killer for sure.

the timing of this whole thing is a little off.. waiting until the first renewal to start the whole process of building a relationship with their customers.

it's almost renewal time and they must have sold hundreds of these so if you renew half it's a nice infusion of cash

it's like when you buy a WSO and never hear from them again except many months later to try ad extract more money from you.

I have yet to find anyone actually using this successfully.. we are talking about a product that has been sold for at least 2 years already.

is anyone using this platform successfully?????

would like to hear at least 1 happy person just one

    thanks

I too purchased SiteSales seven months ago through a Mike Filsaime & Norman webinar......
.............and completely agree with Forrest Smyth's post.

On 12/12/12 I received an email from Norman Janssen, owner of MediaCode, stating that he
was taking control of SiteSales and is now renaming SiteSales to Prometheus. Norman stated
that they have fixed the SiteSales problems, are updating, adding improvements and will be doing
a new launch in the first week of January 2013.

I am also wondering if Norman and Norman Janssen are one in the same person. If you listen to
both webinars.........the voices sound quite similar.

As I cannot login to Prometheus, I sent a reply email to Norman Janssen with some questions and also sent a
second email to, support (at) sitesales (dot) com earlier this week.

In the 12/12/12 email video Norman mentioned that the turn-around reply to an support ticket would be 24 hours.
As todate, I have not received any reply from Norman Janssen or his support team.

I hope this is not a sign of what is to come.

is there anyone that has built sites with this platform???? I have been waiting and I find it so odd that there is NOT ONE!!!!

person that has come on board and said good things about this platform

    it's not the money

but its the risk of investing hours into an unreliable platform

I mean can you imagine you build out 6 sites with content and all te research and time that goes along with launching them and you have constant problems

so this is a call out

has anyone been satisfied with actually using this platform

    anyone???????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????

I sent a number of emails to Sitesales/Prometheus support a couple of months ago and no response. They are clearly no longer supporting the platform, and it's probably only a matter of time till the site goes down completely.

Sadly, like a few other bad apples in the IM industry Norman Freeman/Norman Jensen is full of s**t. Stupid me for believing his promises of a bright new start as Prometheus, and like djbtile, gifting him a further $97. I should have smelt a rat when he didn't respond to my letter (post #50).

I agree, it doesn't do Mike Filsaime's reputation any favours. Norman Jensen (or whatever he's calling himself now) obviously conned Filsaime into believing he was a trustworthy person too.
