Default Comments about the golden thread

I have seen one post opened on another forum but I wondered how many of you guys bought into the golden thread and would like to offer your comments about the program and about Michael Cheney. Where iyou act with the program now and how was it gone? Have you made any sales?

It would be really nice to share my experiences with you and vice versa maybe we can learn some things together and share our ideas of however take this program forward, what you say?

I'll start with this:

Daily four or five signups. Total of about 150 signup so far on my list. To sales so far totalling about $150. Rapidly climbing the search engines but still unable to get on the first page. We'll soon though. Traffic still incredibly low but currently at about 92 visits per day. This is total traffic although most of it is going to two of the websites. Trying out and testing the cash cannons on my other affiliate programs in my other niche and the cash cannons are just barely beating my normal cells pages but it's a close run thing. I have however learnt an awful lot despite being online for more than 10 years.

Hey Karl, yeah there is lots of solid content in there and well delivered lessons. Michael does have a lot of knowledge and gives it freely (well not quite fee eh). My sites are not getting anywhere yet but then I have not spent a great deal of time on the SEO side of the systems yet. I am confident that all members will do well if the action is taken. Hey, at least he came out with a product that does work when you use it. Unlike other so called "game changers" that are pushed to the masses.

Just curious as to how much you've progressed since you posted? I'm really thinking of buying the Golden Thread but from what I hear, the course basically teaches you how to use video in your sales letter.

if its just a tutorial on the use of vids in a sales letter, it seems like it'll be a big rip

Well done Karlp295.
I did the Golden Thread course and so far I have only 13 people on my list and 0 sales of any of the products.
I don't regret buying into the course, but I feel that there could have been more emphasis on the importance of keywords and your choice of.
Having said that I enjoyed Micheal's teaching and feel I did learn a lot.

@karlp295, If you don't mind me asking, what have you found to be your most successful method/s of building your list?

All the best

I bought the golden thread and felt it was really informative and a good investment. Am I making any money from it? frankly no. It is a foundation for IM and has included some good products, I just can't seem to get the opt ins or the conversions. The course was very well organized and a chimpanzee could follow Michael's really clear tutorials. He is a superb teacher and did provide good value for money. My only disappointment is that the products he has included are not providing some income to offset the rather high price of the course. I was hoping by now I would have a steady income of even $1000 per month (like Shannon!!),the course would be paid for and I could build my business with the monthly earnings. So far it isn't happening but I wouldn't blame Michael Cheney. I would recommend his courses in the future and do hope he does the weekly Live TV show he spoke about.

P.S. someone said they were thinking of buying the course...to my knowlege it was a one time thing for 500 people...?

Hi, was just reading all the comments about The Golden Thread...which I bought. First of all, I have to say that I've learned a great deal from the course. A lot of the "tech" aspects that I'd been confused about previously became crystal clear in his videos and, as a result, I'm very comfortable with now. The keywords I chose, however, turned out to be highly competitive ones, very difficult to rank for. (I came to this conclusion after reading SEO Lies.) I'm now trying to replace the keywords I originally chose. Kinda unwieldly..! Anyway, do any of you know if Michael's planning on doing the weekly (I believe it was "weekly") sessions with us as he mentioned? To date I still haven't heard from him. And, yes, I'd really like to be in touch with those of you who purchased the course.

ljburbank.....I totally agree and am in the same boat....loved the course, learned loads of stuff and it got me over a hump of just not understanding some things. I too wished we would have had more emphasis on the importance of keywords and the research. I am also re-doing my keywords using other tools ( Market Samurai is pretty good and has a 15 day trial).

I got an email from Michael yesterday (?) saying he was going to launch something in May and that it would not be too expensive. I don't think I can post links but it is michaelcheney.com/war . I commented back that I hoped he would do the weekly thing.

I am all for a forum for GT members and would be happy to start it if we can get some people in. Maybe we could even get Michael to do a live show with us as a follow-up. Let's get some people together and then contact him about that, ok?

Good to hear back from you, Elliec. I signed up for Market Samurai's free trial several months ago before becoming a part of The Golden Thread. I muked around with it a bit just to see what it was all about. Personally I liked how it was set up. Beyond that, ?? However, I have seen a couple of very favorable comments about it from marketers whom I've come to respect. SEO Lies ($1 written report), Justin Brooke, is very well done. It's concise, understandable, and doesn't take long to get through. It's probably the most helpful information I've come across in terms of understanding keywords. Thanks for Michael's info. And, yes, it'd be great to have a follow-up to help us with some of the stumbling blocks. Also, I'm wondering where all the other Golden Thread students are.

Hey LJ,

I am wondering too...I would really like to get a dialogue going - off WF to see how we are doing and for support. I did email Michael this past week about my lack of opt ins and he did give me a bit of a kick. Really pleased that he still cares and seems to be there to help if you need him.

Thanks for the keyword, seo info.

I would love to trade ideas with anyone who went thru the golden thread
program. I joined this forum specifically because of this thread.
I can't pm yet. Is there a way to trade email addresses with anyone who might want to if I can't pm yet?
I feel like I LEARNED a lot, but I haven't EARNED a thing!!
High competition for any keywords on these products it seems.
