Based on the sales page, I see that both of these tools are useful for analyzing competition of keywords. I know that SKCA analyze the competition based on the csv files downloaded from google keyword tool. On the other hand, Niche finder can suggest a group of keyword from a seed keyword we enter. Am I right? Now the problem I want to ask is... Does niche finder can do same function as the SKCA? I mean if I have a bunch of keywords I find from external source, can I just load and analyze the competition using Niche finder? help please |

Niche finder is actually a neat tool. It will give you related keywords, it will analize those keywords and let you know if you stand a chance of ranking for that keyword. It also lets you know the average amount of backlinks the front page competition has. Ive never used SKCA, but I do recommend Niche Finder.

SKCA is actually a great tool. It is one of my favorite tools to use. I actually look forward to using it. I love it when it finds "Amazing" keywords. I also like the fact that it gives you an average of the page ranks for all of the sites listed on page one of Google for a particular keyword. The other huge thing is that it gives you the TRUE competition of a keyword. For example, if you type "insurance companies in florida" into Google, it states that there are 7,490,000 results. SKCA gives you the true number of competing results. It would be the same as clicking "Next" over and over again on Google until you get to the final page of results. You would then find there are ONLY 700 competing pages rather than 7.5 million. Joe |

Secondly, I can guarantee that the difficulty level numbers in NF are more accurate than any keyword tool out there, including SKCA. Thirdly, number of competing pages has absolutely nothing to do with how easy or hard it is to rank in Google, so I'm not sure what knowing a "true competition" would do for you, other than you know there's a lot of sites in Google for the word... which, again, doesn't tell you how easy/hard it is to break into the top 10. Ranking for "jimmy popcorn head" probably isn't difficult to rank for, yet could have a billion 'competing' pages and is obviously not a valuable keyword at all. Note, I just made that word up. How "powerful" those top 10 ranked websites are is what matters. I'm sure it's a nice tool, but based on those 3 things I mentioned, NF wins hands down. Brad

Does either tool provide the raw data (like the data in Market Samurai's SEOC module) or do they only provide their Difficulty Rating? I don't care how accurate anyone claims their Difficulty Rating is because difficulty is subjective. I don't want to put competition analysis into the hands of someone I don't know as they might interpret the data differently to myself. Does either tool process in bulk? I like the sound of SKCA importing a CSV from the GKWT as I have found nothing on the market that provides the flexibility of GKWT and it's filters. Give me a tool that will process raw metrics in bulk and I'm sold. |

With NF, you can't upload a list of keywords.
