Hi guys. I am about to launch my PLR site and I was wondering if there are any services similar to DL guard that I could use. I know that the service works great, but I really don't like the way the interface looks to the customer. Any suggestions from those who have been through this already? Thanks! |

Like he said above, you can customize the download page, but there is no better software that does what DLGuard does for the price.

Greenninja, if you have any questions on customising DLGuard's interface, if you open a ticket at the DLGuard website I'm happy to talk you through it. I've seen some people do some amazing stuff! For reference, there's a couple of help docs that you may be interested in: Customising or creating a new download page template: DLGuard Knowledgebase / Editing the Single Item Sales Download page template, or creating your own Customising the DLGuard Cart system (if you're using the built in cart): DLGuard Knowledgebase / How do I customise the DLGuard Cart layout? But again, if you need any help, let me know! cheers Sam (And thanks so much for everyone's replies here - I really appreciate it!) |

DLGuard is good for PLR type stores, I've used it for my old BetterPLR service and it works very well. Just be sure that if you need support, to do it within the timeframe because the support is not lifetime by default, you have to pay extra for more years. And don't lose the download either because requesting it again is considered "support". |

I've been interested in getting DL Guard for my PLR store as well, but I noticed it doesn't support Google Checkout. Some of the other Wordpress type of shopping cart services don't either. I'm wondering why? I've been using E-junkie and would like to switch to a flat fee service as I continue to add more products on my site. Any thoughts or recommendations that support Google Checkout? thanks! |

Hi Amy, I actually got about half way through integrating with Google checkout and then found out that they require you to have an SSL security certificate installed on your website (so you can have https links). DLGuard is designed to be nice and easy for anyone to quickly get up and running, but the requirements of Google Checkout (with the SSL req.) didn't match my vision for DLGuard (which is basically a quick and easy setup, and start selling). I've been hoping Google would relax their rules a little, as they're the only payment processor that requires this (for remotely hosted payments). Combine that with what was quite a messy backend and different integration methods depending on where the client (ie. you) lived, and I didn't think Google Checkout was quite ready for public use. I'll be revisting it, and I hope they've dropped their requirement for SSL. If not, then I'll add it in anyway, and just make a note of Googles requirements. cheers Sam |

Sam, Thanks for letting me know. That is probably why many of the services don't use Google Checkout. Anyway, I am happy to hear you'll be adding it and look forward to checking out DL Guard. thanks, Amy |
