Best service for downloadable ebooks

A couple of years ago, I used both e-junkie and 1shoppingcart to sell downloadable infoproducts that I'd created. Now, of course, there's also Kindle.

I've got several infoproducts I'm going working on right now, and I am wondering if there are any new websites/services/options for those who want to create an online e-bookstore where it's easy for people to buy and download infoproducts. And since Warriors are always up to date on the latest in the Internet Marketing world - I figured this would be the place to ask!

I use Uploadnsell.com they store the files on their servers, it intergrates with Paypal and they send out expiring download links to my customers so I don't have to worry about the item being shared.

    Hope that helps,

    Jeff

Hi Jeff, how do expiring download links prevent the item from being shared?

This is interesting (unless I misunderstood, which is always possible ), because PDF security is such a huge issue. I know that e-Junkie has available a "stamping thing" which puts the purchasers' transaction-details on each page of the PDF to discourage the item being shared ... but of course discouraging people from sharing an item they've bought is a long way below preventing them from sharing it.

You can't really prevent the person themselves from sharing the downloaded eBook but what the expiring download links do is prevent them from sharing where the eBook is stored with say a blog or mailing list. Thank you for asking. I should have clarified more in the original post but was distracted by the NFL

It is more of a preventitive measure to keep people from leeching all your content in one shot if you had them in an unprotected folder on your hosting. For example if you put 5 ebooks in a folder and give a link to one of those ebooks someone with computer knowledge just removes the text.pdf part and goes to the directory.

Once there they can download any other pdfs in that folder.

        Hope that makes sense,

        Jeff

There's one catch though, you have to make a sale before 90 days before it expires when using uploadnsell but we are not bad marketers rights?

    Hi,

Lulu.com has an entire section on ebook publishing. Seems like they are offering 90% royalty to the author also for a limited time. You can check it out here:

    Thanks.
