RSS Link Bomber is a new tool from Mark Dulisse and I'm wondering if anyone knows much about it and if it does anything that the pingback optimizer, that I bought a few weeks ago, doesn't do.
Thanks

I have serious respect for Mark Dulisse. He is one of the good guys for sure.

    That being said...

I am not sure how much weight Google is giving to these RSS Directory links.
    • I have purchased a few similar products (won't use names) and have tested them on dozens of blogs in my blog network. As far as I can tell, there hasn't been an impact on traffic.
    • Mark's product is most likely one of the best in its category, but it is so hard to know if it will have much impact. The cool thing is that he does give a 15 day $1 trial, if you try and exit his page. It can't hurt.
    • The longer I've been a full-time blogger, the more I realize that creating outstanding posts that get natural links...is the way to go. It doesn't sound sexy, but it works well.

    Anyway...just my two cents,

    -Rusty

I don't know if there is much link juice in rss feeds as far as linking, but I know for a fact if your directory submission is optimized with proper title and description, you'll get more traffic. I know this because when I submit a feed to the feedage.com directory, over time, it will show you the stats on click throughs, so if you don't gain in rank, you'll at least gain in traffic. Most agree that traffic has become at least a small part of the algorithm since late 2010 and post Panda. (and I do mean small).

If set up correctly, RSS feeds do work excellent for baclinks and traffic. I've been using WTG(Web Traffic Genius) for over a year now and it's done very well for me. RSS Link Bomber seems to be a take off from that plugin.

I had Web Traffic Genius but to be honest... Made zero difference to my rankings, plus it started to die as more and more sites became incompatiable with it. All I found it good for was getting sites/pages indexed (which was never a problem anyway).

Also, I agree with Rmoore regarding the power of RSS when it comes to SEO. But hey, could be something I don't know about.

The issue is indexing of RSS Feeds.

The power of RSS Linkbomber is:

    - every feed is crawled and indexed by the search engines, with 100% indexing, as RSS Linkbomber will ping to 250 search engines...each feed.

    - You can have multiple proxies set up, so as to hide your IP

    - It mashups your static 'one post' feed with a dynamic feed. A feed normally has 10 entries. The issue is that the search engines love dynamic content. Turning each page into a unique rss feed is easy, but then it is just a static feed, with no dynamic additions to it. With RSS LinkBomber, it will have the one static entry from your post, or page, but also will mashup with any dynamic feed of your choosing for the other 9 entries.

There are a lot more reasons, but i will not go into it here.

Just installed and set this up on a clients blog, and it looks very interesting.

Video setup instructions are easy to follow.

Setup my first cron job using one of these videos, but not 100% sure it's working yet - will report back.

I've made three posts since installing the plugin, and haven't received any email confirmations of RSS postings - hmm.

How does this compare to Pingback Optimizer?
      Anyone used both?

Do they do the same thing or different?

Would it make sense to use both?

I am new to RSS so am trying to get informed before making a decision.

      Thanks.

A critical upgrade was released of this plugin last night, which does have a few extra features, but still doesn't work for me. Have updated my support ticket and hope to will be working soon - looks to have great potential.

    UPDATE

I just re-entered my DeathByCaptcha login details and the plugin now works - first Test Cron worked fine - hooray.

    ANOTHER UPDATE

...but now am getting more errors with too many processes being run, so have had to disable the plugin entirely.

Damn. Reckon it has great potential, just hope it can be sorted ASAP

Hi Scorcher, Well, that sounds depressing! I was just planning on picking this up, and it looks like it's having lots of problems.....

Well, thanks for reporting on it! It look like it will be real good when it's working correctly.

I am now sorted, and the plugin is busily firing RSS streams all over the place!

Once support had told me to delete the plugin via FTP, and then Mark told me to remove one of my feeds from the mesh, it is now sorted!

The feed causing the error was a link to the main feed on the blog, so the poor old plugin was in a loop asking it itself to ask itself to ask itself to ask itself (etc)

Where are the rss feeds that are created hosted? On your own url or a third party site?

To make sure that Mark Dulisse believes in his own product, I checked his blog and it's in the source code.

Way to Go Mark! If it wasn't there, I would have announced it and that would fly the the Hidenburg.

I'm gonna try using this in conjunction with Backlink Index Express- should be a great combination.

Any updates on the effectiveness of using RSS feeds for ranking and or traffic post panda and penguin and whatever critters I may have missed?

Forgot I had RSS linkbomber and came across it today working on a blog..wondering what others are finding with this tool or those similar.

I had some good results with RSS link bomber in the early part of 2012 (pre Panda) but had to take it down due to my hosting complaining of overuse of resources. I would like to try it again but there appears to be no support for the plugin. Does anyone know of a similar RSS auto submitter plugin that I can try?
