I'm working on a project that means I'm going to have to get a bit more active in sales (again) as I've been away from it for quite some time. I was doing some research and came across Never Cold Call Again, a book by Frank Rumbasuskas about his uniques sales system, with the requisite story about how he came through the ranks of sales, etc, ect. The offer begins with a 37 page pdf, free, which is the first chapter of the book. It is, in fact, an excellent piece of work. So good that I couldn't purchase fast enough. You can make the purchase and just pay the shipping (9.95) and you won't be billed for 30 days, then you will be billed 97.00. It looked good but then I was hit with not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 OTO's which I personally find the most annoying aspect of IM. In my opinion, sell the whole deal and let's get it over with...I'm sure there are a lot of differing thoughts on that, but as I said,...it's MY opinion. At any rate, I bought the first upsell because it made a small amount of sense and they did the job of getting me in the buying mood. So there goes $6 for shipping to be followed by $44 in 30 days but would have cost me $97 if I waited. Right! I was born at night....just not last night...but what the heck. I got the download of the first ten chapters of the book and a second book in full. I started to read and then he simply copies and pastes several pages from Napolean Hill's classic Think and Grow Rich....a great book but I've read it several times over the years. As I skimmed much of the second book I found theory after theory of rehashes of the aforementioned book along with some of the other classic books of that genre (Power of Positive Thinking, Phyco-cybernetics, etc) all great books in their way but there's no point in paying $150+ when I can get the originals for next to nothing. So that's my story of how I lost $10 on the initial sale, $6 on the first upsell (shipping charges) plus whatever it will cost me to ship these packages back (unopened). If you're the kind of person that devours everything they can get their hands on about the sales process this might be something to take a look at. Early in my sales days I used to read and listen to everything and anything about sales and selling. Now I'm a bit more particular in how I spend my time and I'll gladly spend time and money for something unique and new, this is neither. |

Which did you read years ago? If it's Think and Grow Rich, it's available as a free download from several sites. I just downloaded it myself. Just search for "think and grow rich free pdf" and you'll find a number of sites to download from. It's a book that I believe everyone should read once a year at the very least, along with Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People. Over the years I've read dozens of How To Sales type of books and listened to dozen more tapes and cds, and the essence of all of them can be found in those two books. |

Since I'm a regular here I wanted to respond... Quote:
The online 'Never Cold Call Again' package is the 'full' version vs. the 'lite' version which is represented by the book on Amazon. Other than pasting a few paragraphs from Law of Success by Napoleon Hill about the importance of appearances in sales, it is all original and covers - - Flyer distribution as "enhanced" cold calling - Referral selling - Free seminars to generate leads - Enhanced business networking - Email marketing for salespeople - Internet marketing for salespeople ...and a lot more. The $47 upsell, 'The Sales Mastery Program' is a 4-CD set that is also all original and focuses on advanced tactics on how to conduct sales appointments, fact-finding, creating effective proposals and presentations, using profit-justification in proposals to make buying a no-brainer for prospects, and so on. Quote:
Anyway, all authors and information marketers know that no matter how good your product is, lots of people won't even complete the entire course, let alone implement it, so that's my .02 on the subject. It's a shame because I have endless glowing testimonials from people who do implement it instead of writing it off after reading it. -Frank | ||

I read your book a few years ago, Frank, when I still had an offline business and cold-calling was not very effective. It was really useful. Most business books contain one great idea and a lot of filler. Your book was full of good stuff. Pearson |

I have to say that I have a national brokerage business, and have built a large Residual income using techniques in Never Cold Call, and Frank's system. I've also read Think And Grow Rich. There is alot of unique info and priceless info in the system. I've used the methods to generate $28,000 in commissions off of one sale. I guess I'm a raving fan. Thank you Frank. Shoot me a pm, if you'd like a testimonial and more details on how I've used your methods. |
