Google checkout is a good one they are doing some shady things to help there users recently. I'd say use them more for physical products then anything. |

Are you really asking about payment gateways, or do you actually mean "online credit-card payment processors"? Please excuse me if this sounds a cheeky question: I intend it only helpfully! I've seen these threads before, and usually many of the people replying don't quite appreciate that they're two very different things. It'll be much easier for you to learn something useful from the replies if you explain a little bit more (especially if you really do mean "payment gateway"). |

I used plimus in the past and was happy with it , but I think they have higher taxes then paypal has... Anyway if you sign up to them they will give you a Master Card from payoneer , and in each month on the 15 will enter the money from past month on your credit card directly and this is nice. Take a look , you may like it. |

| We help businesses process credit card payments (such as 37 Signals & LivingSocial). Our services include the merchant account, payment gateway, credit card storage and recurring billing. Our customers include some of the fastest growing and most respected online businesses. Our solutions entirely eliminate the processing and storage of credit card data which reduces PCI Compliance scope by as much as 90% and eliminates the risk of a credit card breach in your environment. We're also modernizing the way merchants integrate with payment gateways. No SOAP or RPCs with key/value pairs. Instead, we expose a rich domain model through client libraries written in the programming languages that you work with on a daily basis (Ruby, Python, Java, PHP, and .NET). I'm happy to talk to you about your payment needs: jenna (at braintreepayments) dot com |

If you are honest with what are you selling paypal will not shut down your account. I'm using it for about 3 years and I had few charge-backs (all of them fraudulent). Every-time when a customer wanted their money back, I refunded them. As an alternative, I think moneybookers, 2CO, e-junkie |

try alertpay or moneybookers. They both work the same way as paypal and they don't have this problem of freezing peoples accounts. but one thing is that this payment gateways are not very popular. not so many people have accounts with this merchant. as a result you'll be loosing many customers since only few have alertpay or moneybookers. in my own opinion if you're running from paypal which is definitely the best then you should consider going for checkout or any other credit card merchant that will process payment for you. |

The BEST processor is Litle & Co. It's what I have used (and am using) for several products. The processor for GoDaddy, Overstock. That being said, you need to go through a lot of hurdles, plus have substantial cash in the bank. New companies with no money may as well not apply. |

Thanks everyone for replying, but it seems like not all of the mentioned "credit-card payment processors" accept all credit cards, I need a system that accept any type of a credit card payment, your suggestion from exprience?

Why people dont like paypal? Is it that bad? I hear people complaining about paypal freezing their account. WHy is that so..? I read somewhere its because if you get too high a refund rate they will look into your account. And if there are too many complaints, they will freeze it. So i think that is rather fair? |

Big corporate companies are not perfect. i just got of the phone with paypal CS. I wanted to link my bank account with the paypal account. The CS told me that for business paypal accounts you need a corporate bank account. You cannot use personal. I just couldnt believe it. So i said thank you and thats all. So i put down the phone and called again, so another representative picked up and i asked the same question. This time another representative said with more confidence that it is possible to link a personal account to a business paypal account. They arent perfect. No one, no system, no corporate, no program, NOTHING on this world is perfect. =) |
