I keep hearing "the money is in the list". And I'm sure that a large list that you could send thousands of emails to with one click would be great.
But, this kind of list could take years to build.
So how is the best and quickest way to build a list good list?

"Money is in the list" does not work this way.
What actually works is: "money is in the mutually beneficial relationship between me and my customers".
There are many ways to collect list but unless people are getting real benefits or good value consistent communication from list owner - they'll hit "unsubscribe" or "spam" as soon as they'll see first pimping attempt.

Having said that - best way to build a list is:
- choose your niche
- build valuable interesting informative content around this niche
- give people from this niche something of value for free (via opt-in). This could be ebook, piece of software, or whatever else is of value for this group.
- Give first.

Here is where many get confused. You DO NOT need a list of 100,000 people of 10,000 members heck you really only need a list of a few hundred people if that.

Let me ask you this...

Would you like a list where when you send out to 10,000 people 3 actually take you up on your offer you are promoting
or
Email a list of 100 people and get 10 of them to take you up on your offer.

Find something that is of interest to you and then build a list around it and promote products

Money is in the list for business owners so try to do some off line marketing and get them more excited about that.

  Tips on Building a big list very quickly
  1. Write a short mini article only 4 to paragraphs, submit to a few ezines start at
  ezine articles at
  the end of the mini article. Always end with a call to action. Ex "For a free guide
  on blah blah blah visit yourURL
  2. Now your URL is your squeeze/optin page of course. Your going to give them a
  free e-book,encourage others to give it away freely in your ebook, 10 pages max. It's gonna have some useful content
  for the reader,
  but more importantly it's gonna affiliate links and your optin page link.
  a. In your mini e-book you'll recommend low priced hosting sites and stuff, which give
  you high commissions.
  b. You can sell this e-book on ebay for about $27 bucks for example. Remember it's
  gonna have your squeeze page link in there. You can have links to video
  tutorials from youtube that relate and stuff, whatever you want...
  2. Once you have your squeeze page create a what do you think about my squeeze
  page?thread on like 10 forums: go to Google type in Internet Marketing "forums"
  or Make Money Online "forums" whatever...when you put quotations it's gonna
  only show forums on your search results. Your gonna get oppinions of hundreds of
  fellow marketers to ensure that
  you have the higest optin rate.
  
  3. Your gonna Put your sqeeze page url in your signature box on all those 10+ forums
  that you sign up under. Your Stuff is gonna keep getting better and better from all the great ideas you get.
