iSnare vs. Phantom Writers - Which is Best?

Does anyone have experience with iSnare or The Phantom Writers?? I want to get my articles into syndication, and not just use them for backlinks. Which service, if either, is good for actually getting traffic from articles?

    I certainly am not the expert here as I too am currently exploring syndication, however, it's my belief that using any of the top directories such as Ezine Articles, iSnare, or perhaps Phantom Writers (*never looked into them) can be a great starting point.

    Ultimately, the idea behind syndication is not just in uploading your work to EZA for example. The real idea I believe; is in establishing a portfolio on a respected platform, and having the 'resume' of sort to entice other webmasters, bloggers, and those seeking relevant content to use your articles, while keeping the resource box in tact.

    I personally think your ability to write non-hypey or salesy articles is the key regardless of which platform you choose. For example, I am establishing my articles on EZA, only for the purpose of building a reputable portfolio to use as a base to encourage those seeking 'content' to syndicate my articles through various means outside EZA.

    Another words, I see the article directory as a 'showcase' to display ones talent, but the real benefits come when you 'probe' the market in your niche to get relevant sites to host your articles, and do so finding those who are grateful enough using your free content to keep your resource box or credit link in tact.

    I hope that helps, as there are those far more experienced who can probably better explain it.

      I thought iSnare was dead?

      I hate to be sounding like all those people who start off threads asking "Is This/That/The-Other Dead?" but this forum seems to be full of people who think that iSnare's dead, or at the very least that it hasn't submitted their articles anywhere for many months and doesn't reply to inquiries ... am I wrong?

      I'm very embarrassed to admit that I haven't actually used TPW's syndication service, myself, though I've had clients who have, and I've heard very many excellent things about it and never a bad word at all (and let me tell you, that's pretty unusual, in this business), and the two are clearly in NO way comparable services anyway (nor would either of them pretend to be).

      However, none of this actually qualifies me to reply to your question from first-hand experience, Michelle; sorry.

        Thanks for the replies! It was getting lonely in here. :-)

        I'm not sure if iSnare is still relevant. While researching the topic of article distribution, iSnare and The Phantom Writers popped up in Google. However, I couldn't find any reviews of either service. iSnare is inexpensive, so I guess I could try it anyway - unless I hear otherwise. And it sounds like Phantom Writers are worth a try too.

          From what I've heard, it was never relevant. The question now isn't about its relevance, it's about whether it's alive at all - and the findings of this forum's search function certainly seem to suggest that it isn't.

          But in any case, Michelle, one is/was a mass submission service and the other is a syndication service. They don't even begin to do the same things, or fulfil the same purpose at all. They're just not comparable.
