It is absolutely the best bookmarking product out there, bar none. The latest version 4 is just brilliant. Highest recommendation.

Yes, I bought it a month ago. It has increased the backlinks to my sites in 2 weeks, actually 1. Pinging feature is great for getting your keywords noticed. Thumbs up from me.

I am a big fan of Bookmarking Demon and I use it as a staple in my continuous marketing plan for all of my websites. Here is a review that might help: Top 3 Auto Social Bookmarking Software Tools Compared | Black Hat Software There are other software products out there, but none that I have tried which met my expectations. |

Hi Guys, How does this compare with SocialMarker.com ? Is Book Marking Demon worth the money ? If it is better than SocialMarker, how much time does it save etc? Thanks. |

How Does BMD 4 compare to Automatic Social Bookmarks Submitter - World's Best Automated Social Bookmarking Software ? I heard that is a really good social bookmarking tool and Kim Roach recommends it...I have heard some say one is better some say the other Anyhow, if anyone has tried both, that would be helpful. I think they are both the same price |

Hi, I assume you want to build links with social bookmarking. I have used Brick Marketing for this and think they made a pretty good job. Another great resource for building links are by submitting your website to different directories. Directory Maximizer do this manually for you for only 14 cent per directory! That's really cheap and a great way to build links. Good Luck! / Stefan |

Are you running a blog or a regular website? If you're running a blog, auto social poster by mass-automation is great. I have Bookmarking Demon and I don't like it...it's slow and you can only run it on one computer at a time. I will probably get a refund and try the bookmarking tool by mass-automation, it looks dynamite....and runs off your server, so it can run all the time and not tie up local resources....I would give you the link but can't because I am "new"....just go to mass-automation(dot)com and look at their tools, they have some awesome stuff.....their blog plug in is terrific....everytime you post to your blog it goes to all the bookmarking sites automatically....perfect.

Social poster is free, is there something special about bookmark demon that makes it worth the price, compared to social poster?

I'm not sure where someone got 40 sites out of box. I'm running BMD 4 and if you count the scuttle and pligg sites, out of box is almost a hundred sites. scrounging up extra scuttle and pligg sites can be a pain, but worth it. I have a running list of about 200 on top of the BMD ones that were included. You are definitely limited to using it on one system, but for ~200 (some sites fail) links per run to EACH site/page. it is VERY easy to rack up links. Though from my experience these links aren't helping much with SERPs. honestly, for the same 147 you're probably better off getting linkvana for a month. the links weigh more and stay for as long as the site does. |

Have you actually used Linkvana? I did, and had horrible results, NO links after 2 months.....hardly worth the exorbitant $147 a month...and support was non-existent. Have you tried Neurolinker? Only $27 a month, and does SO much more it's unbelievable. They have great support, you can enter up to a 100 websites, they have over 2300 sites in their network, enter unlimited keywords for proper matching, you can upload articles that go on their network of sites and have them link back to you, plus they have a collaborative bookmarking system...that members actually seem to get involved with... I'm new so can't post links, but it is neurolinker(dot)com |

Nobody has answered Marks question below. I would be interested in the answer to this since I think I need to get into this whole bookmarking thing. Also nobody has really answered why these paid services are better than the free ones. Is there a short 1-2 paragraph answer that some can give, or is it a case that we have to read the sales stuff on bookmarking demon and submitbookmark and try to figure out the differences. Quote:

Just make sure when you go to use BMD that you have a solid list of proxy’s. If you go in blind and try to post to 100 different accounts you are going to get flagged as a spammer. |

Hi I have a question about BMD. Is there a way to make sure you don't bookmark the same URL twice? I maintain a lot of sites and there is no way I could control that manually. Does BMD warn me about this? Thanks. Tony |

I'm pretty sure I read as a feature of BMD, that it doesn't bookmark the same URL twice automatically. At least with the same account. It should be pretty easy to test though. |

I dont think BMD will stop you from bookmarking the same URL twice. However, each social network will most likely not allow it at least with the same account. If you have multiple accounts at one social site; BMD WILL post the URL multiple times (once to each account). Hope that answers your question.

Hello all ... I emailed the makers of BMD - EdwinSoft and asked them the question and here is the reply: http://support.edwinsoft.com/images/subject.gif Subject: Double bookmarking a URL Hi I have a question - is there a way to make sure you don't bookmark the same URL twice? I maintain a lot of sites and there is no way I could control that manually. Does BMD warn me about this? Thanks. Tony http://support.edwinsoft.com/images/reply_by.gif Reply by: Jenny Hi Tony, BMD uses the bookmarking.log file to keep track. As long as this file is not purged, BMD will not double submit a bookmark to a site if that site already have been previously bookmarked. Regards Jenny good news eh ? Tony |

For information on social bookmarking you may want to download a free ebook on the subject. I don't know if I am allowed to post that info here, but if you send an email to: bob@homebusinesslink.com with Social Bookmarking in the subject line I can give you the download link. Bob Gill |

For certain sites, it is "semi-automated" because you are required to fill in the CAPTCHA forms. Other than that, it is totally hands off during submission. What's semi-automatic is actually the account creation. SocialBot helps you fill up your details based on your input in your "Account Details". But you have still have to press "submit" to get your info registered. Anyway, a lot more features are planned in SocialBot v5.0. I often correspond with Big Mike, and he puts in a lot of effort to listen to his customer's feedbacks. If you ask me, at this price it is selling at, it represents a great value. | |

Manual bookmarking is risky and takes longer time. Instead one can go with BMD 4th version.

I've been having some pretty good success with BMD. It's a great supplement to article marketing as it helps you get links to your articles along with your main sites. It doesn't bookmark to all sites at 100%, but since it's so automated it's really not much of a problem to resubmit. Pretty nifty software IMO.

I do use BMD4 and it's very useful, for those using it you may find this PLigg sites list useful: Scuttle, PHPdug and Pligg sites List 2009 - Latino Internet Marketing .NET plus I completely automate my bookmarking projects using another software tool mentioned there. Hope this is helpful |

Hmmm ... well I tried it, studied the help, watched all the videos and sadly have decided to ask for a refund. The software doesn't work very well: - BMD fell over when spidering my WP site - bookmarking failed a lot. I have accounts with many sites but it was only bookmarking to 3 sites and sometimes not at all. It is a real pity because I liked the look of this tool and it would sure be useful. |

I have used BMD4 for a long time and have collected close to 10,000 active sites that i have in my BMD apps, but i have to constantly filter out sites that have died and sites that have switched to pligg or another platform. I have been pushing edwin for months now to switch to the new database format but i wait for months and months for BMD which is supposed to be released every week , or at least thats what they tell me everytime i ask. ONce it moves to BMD database format i can put all 10,000 sites to full use but now it consumes my quad core 8gig machines just to run them its a good tool, but my own searching for sites in this number has left it turned into a glorified scuttle/pligg submitter. |

I bought BMD because of the impressive video presentation on the website. It is able to automate the bookmarking process, but I have not been overly impressed with the results. It appears that many of the largest bookmarking sites are not included. While it seems to work quite well for scuttle/pligg sites, I have switched to Onlywire for my big boy social bookmarking. Onlywire takes more time but the success rate is far greater. It is also free if you use it on your blog. I will continue to test BMD 4 for another few weeks. But right now, I just don't see the upside. Would be curious to hear how those with "glowing" recommendations felt. Any way to quantify your success? |
