Who Sells A Reliable Kindle Publishing System Based On Solid Information?

Hello Everyone:

I was looking to purchase a Kindle Publishing System.

I was on the webinar last night with James Jones and Tanner Larson, who made his system available for $97.

I will probably do this for myself and a client, so it does not have to be a simple program on how to get rich with PLR Kindle System.

It is my understanding that one major problem is the formatting. So if you know of a WSO that does this I am all ears.

If you have not used the program but you have really heard of a reliable one, I am open to hearing from you on this thread.

It seems that the programs vary in price from $17 to $997.

Thoughts on this Warriors?

Martin Avis gave instructions about how to format this in his free kickstartdaily ezine. Seems quite easy. Why a course?

Well I guess I was thinking of diversifying away from writing about small business lead generation. I'd heard that it was not a hot Amazon seller.

Also, I'd heard there were some things that I could screw up and miss making money on the work I put in...

But, if this is one of those things where I already have the knowledge, then maybe I can proceed without a course.

I'm confused by the phrase 'kindle publishing system' - what is that supposed to be?

My understanding is that kindle supports multiple formats (unlike iBooks which only supports EPUB at present), including .doc

(Note: EPUB is easily (well, sort of easily) output by the $20 Pages software on a mac (and probably other things) if you follow their template and instructions exactly).

When I say system, I mean a strategy for making money.

And it was explained to me the formatting might be a problem regardless of what system is implemented.

        Ah, so something like -
        1. find the highest ranking search terms in your niche
        2. write a short ebook using the search terms in the title and description
        3. publish the ebook on kindle
        4. ...?
        5. profit!

        Hi Charles,

Amazon itself has a publishing guide here:
        https://kdp.amazon.com/self-publishi...A17W8UM0MMSQX6

You can refer to the guide to format books yourself or get some Kindle formatting WSOs (just search for "Kindle") here which are mostly based on Amazon's guide. They just explain things in more detail and have illustrations.

Formatting won't be a problem if your original source document (Word, PDF, HTML) was formatted correctly using styles such as Heading 1, Heading 2, Body Text, etc.

Formatting might be a problem during conversion to Kindle format if the original document was formatted haphazardly, or has more complex items such as bullet or number lists, tables or images.

I don't want to toot my own horn but I do offer a Kindle book cover design + formatting all-in-one service which a number of warriors have used and left good reviews.

Just let me know if I can help with anything. Thanks.

Tanner's course covers both Kindle and physical books. Kindle formatting is not that much of a problem I write mine in Open Office and the make a pdf to send kindle.
The course gives you several templates to format various sizes of physical books. At least that's my understanding. I didn't buy the course but though Tanner gave some great content for free at the webinar

I thought so too. I am on the fence.

$97 is above the sweet spot, but the presentation had me convinced, plus it is pretty clear that this guy doesn't teach theory about this. I am leaning toward a yes, but don't fully know yet.

At the same time, you never can tell whether something is going to be common sense to you even if isn't to others.

I don't believe in returning info products because "I knew this already", so if I get it, I am just going to keep it.

    Hi,

I do know Clickbank sells several Kindle publishing systems from $8.36 up to $25.49 I am not going to provide my personal clickbank affiliate link- I have a bit more character than that. I would suggest purchasing the cheap one just to get the ins and outs on how to set up on Kindle- I am sure you already know how to create an e-book.

I don't have any personal opinions on any of these products, because I don't personally promote them

    Hope this helps some.

Paul Coleman has a WSO around 10 bucks, and if you're a Warroom member, a free Kindle book there.

I've read a few of his reports, they're very good. Might want to give it a look:

        Hi Charles,

I watched a replay of the same Kindle/CreateSpace webinar today and it was actually fairly good and didn't cost more than a mortgage payment

I took the time to take good notes and may actually buy it but I'm guessing I already know most of what is in it. Plus, I'm way too busy getting my project done right now.

In a nutshell they talked about using PLR like it should be used as base material that you should pull apart and add your own content to once you do the proper research.

Basically, use the PLR as a template or outline and fill-in the details using your own words.

Isn't that how we learned to write in school?

Given that Kindle Craze 2.0 is no longer available and that Kindle Cash Flow is designed for people with more money than sense; can anybody recommend a decent course on Amazon Kindle.

By decent, I don't mean one that says "get PLR, publish it on Kindle, and become an overnight millionaire."

I mean one that will go through the necessary steps of researching, publishing and marketing.

I signed up last week for "Tablet Cash Machines". Although the live part doesn't begin till next week the videos etc are very detailed.

You can get minimal access to their site at www.tabletcashmachines.com then click on 'contact'.

So far I would recommend it and am looking forward to the course proper starting soon. There is a 30 day refund safety net and Jay Boyer and John Rhodes are well respected marketers. Hope this helps.

When you do that, you get John's help desk. You would need to fill out a ticket to request more information. You don't get any kind of access to the site from that page, but if anyone is really interested the help desk would respond to your inquiry.

      Hi Warriors, Sandy here..

I have some experience with uploading ebooks to Amazons Kindle Store.
Unfortunately, I did what a couple of posters above said not to do.
      I uploaded PLR products.

Boy, was that a BIG mistake.

I had some extra time on my hands, so I decided to try to make some
monthly residual income from Kindle ebooks.
I changed the PLR products ecover design, descriptions, title, and a good part of the content.

I uploaded about 700 ebooks in about 6 weeks.

I was doing pretty good with monthly payments, until Amazon decided to
slap the authors with duplication penaties.
What they call, "Differentiated and Undifferentiated" Content.

They told me by email that there was too many of the same things in the Kindle store.
Therefore they were going to stop the sales of my "Undifferentiated" ebooks

Out of 700 ebooks, they killed close to 550 ebooks.
They emailed me if I didn't make them different to all the others already published,
they would suspend my account until that happened.

Needless to say, I wasn't about to spend another 6 weeks doing that again.

So, here I am with no Kindle account and no more monthly income.

So, in conclusion to this "Rant", I agree with the posters above,
DO NOT USE PLR when uploading content to Kindle.

There will be so many of the same ebooks with same content that
you'll get an email saying, "change it or else".

      Just my 3 cents

That's quite an unfortunate story Sandy, but thanks for sharing the truth about trying to use PLR. It should have flashing red lights and be stickied for all to see. So many people are still trying to submit PLR.

The thing is, if you take the time to create a new book and add some value, the rewards will last for years to come. And you only have to do it one time per book.

Amazon has really cracked down the past 6 months on PLR content (and rightly so). If you want to be successful on the Kindle, you need to right original quality content that would be worthy of being in a "real" book and you need to promote it heavily to move it up the list on Amazon and grow sales.

    Hey Charles

I purchased Geoff Shaw's (opoqo on this forum) Kindling WSO and I've worked my way through most of it now. I have to say that it's superb value for top quality information. I like the way that it is presented by someone who is very experienced at Kindle publishing. Simple, easy to understand and to the point.

I've purchased a few Kindle WSO's and several of them were bordering on being useless. Another big name one was very good, but has taken me a long time to work through. Considering all of these, Geoff's Kindling is certainly the best and the fact that he is continuing to add content, means to me that he really knows his stuff and wants to give value. Just one tip in this WSO has saved me huge amount of time.

I never bought any of his products before, but I can highly recommend this WSO. (This is not solicited and no affiliate link!) If you are looking to publish on Kindle, go buy this one! Best wishes.

An update on Geoff Shaw's Kindling...awesome. It is (content added daily) even more comprehensive than Jonny's system! And no OTO or forum to subscribe to!

It appears to me (today) that Jonny's book is still for sale, now $57 but it does say "Closing"...

I am going to get "Kindling" now, and if you go to the sales page it is interesting how he mentions Jonny beat him to wso (and I guess he waited a little after), but he thought Jonny did offer a lot of valuable info.

As for Formatting, one can start at the Amazon KDP site and see free submission and explaination (how to tips). Now it seems there are also products that make it faster? Otherwise at this point I saw that footers and all should be removed, and it is a good idea if the Table of Contents is clickable. But I am certain as I read more I will learn more.

Thanks to many here who have made great posts with good tips.

@BillyPilgrim - I certainly agree with you! I just checked in again and there's more quality training and excellent tips. I like Jonny's course, but I think Geoff's has the edge now.

What I like most about Geoff's, is that he's updating it with the all the latest. To be really fair and honest, I have found that both courses have excellent information that is actually complimentary and really does not conflict.

Whatever Kindle course you have, I'd jump and buy Geoff's anyway!

"It is my understanding that one major problem is the formatting."

Well, actually this is one of the easiest parts of Kindle Publishing. It is called:
a.) Simplified Kindle Formatting Guide and other content publishing guidelines FREE from KDP (Kindle Digital Publishing)

b.) Youtube as in enter "kindle formatting" and it will bring you Tons of free videos
f.e. "Re-format a PDF ebook or doc into Kindle format (called .PRC here) w/ MobiPocket Creator" and Tons of other videos

c.) Microsoft Word 2003 .DOC or Open Office - which is all you need as Kindle will convert your ebook into their Kindle format. Just don't go fancy with your .doc document

You don't need to buy anything for learning about Kindle Formatting. It is free info all over the Net,
but of course if you really want to Pay, why don't just use the Kindle? There are also Kindle books there on How to Publish on Kindle ;-)

There is a course called "Quick Kindle Formatting Secrets Video Course" that can be found by "Googling" that name = that has ZERO fluff, just 10 videos that take you by the hand every step of the way from start to finish. The explanations are concise and clear. I am using it ...without a problem! It sells for $17 and is worth 5 times that amount, easily. There are no affiliates for this software...just tell her that David sent you.

BTW...I decided to refund on Jonny's course for my own reasons but you may be interested to know that PayPal shut him down. It appears that They don't like when people make too much money too quickly. Feel sorry for him!!!

Thank you Dmason. The best way to find my video program Quick Kindle Formatting Secrets is to buy it for $12 in my WSO thread that is still active. You can find it by clicking the link in my signature.

Formatting is a big issue. And many, many ebooks are unreadable because people don't know how to keep most of what Kindle cannot handle out of their ebooks. My video series shows you how to format quickly without hassle.

Also with the new Kindle Fire device, there are more formatting options coming out soon and also more requirements from Kindle. As the eReader devices become more and more high tech so will the need for formatting.

      Happy Kindle Publishing everyone!

I am a student of Tablet Cash Machines and I learned so much from Jay Boyer and John S Rhodes. I am happy to say that I made my money back from the course and then some from their teachings.

However, Amazon has changed since the TCM course launched. Even if you are making slight changes to PLR - amazon is cracking down and threatening accounts where book information is "widely available" on the web. As a result of this, I had to remove many of my titles from kindle because I didn't want to get my account shut down. I don't regret my purchase of TCM whatsoever, but unless the guys change / update the course, you cannot use their methods anymore Personally I was having a blast publishing under their method, but that time has passed.

I am happy about that though because now it means that only the strong will survive!! That is great for competition and it is also great for the readers who buy our books. Think about it, people who are interested in a niche don't usually stop at one book - they buy several! I too would be pretty pissed if i bought a book that had the same paragraphs as the book that I just read with only some minor changes.

Amy Harrop and I put out a product called PLR To Published and it shows you have to use PLR as a basis for your research in a very detailed manner. I believe our course is timeless because it does not teach to reuse the PRL in any fashion. It was pretty controversial because well, it is using PLR - but many people found it to be very helpful in getting ideas and writing unique and quality content. That's what kindle is all about! I think we knew this was coming eventually......

    Anyhoo - here's to originality!

    Happy publishing!

Kindling by Geoff Shaw is the most comprehensive course and Geoff continues to include new informative content. FYI, the course also includes a unique Microsoft word template for easy Kindle formatting.

If you are looking for a paid training, I second, third, and fourth Kindling... Geoff Shaw's course. It's excellent and thorough covering both fiction and non fiction writing.

Here are two courses being sold right here on the warrior forum. One if for $9 and the other for $21. I bought the $9 dollar for my girlfriend. Although it's a beginners course, she was very happy with it. The $21 has gotten great reviews although it centers around children's books. The links are the following:

    The $9 dollar course

    The $21 dollar course

Anyway, just suggesting yet another options that you may find helpful.

Vivian and any one else reading this thread ;-) Geoff Shaw/ Kindling, for sure. The emphasis is on fiction which is where the long term, big bucks are. Geoff has removed the WSO but there are a few affiliates who have been given permission to continue to sell. I am one of them, but I don't know who else. ;-)

In addition, the Kindling FB group is well worth more than the course. ;-)

Yes, i must say the mention of particular editing tools in the FB group have saved me as far as sourcing budget oriented editors to review my stories.

I'm sooo new to kindle lol but seeing others more or less in the same boat helps out A LOT

One tip for anyone joining Kindling and the FB group...please be generous with the search function. I just did a search today and found a TON of material answering my very simple question.

It's sort of the same principle here on the WF. The search feature tends to prevent a lot of needless posts/threads IF it is used lol I'm guilty on occasion but seriously...Kindling FB group rocks

<grin> The search function is a B-I-G help. So is reading thru the group files, AND... going thru all of the tutorials Geoff has on his site. Glad things are going so well! ;-)
