Default Auction Acrobat by Paul Ponna... Any reviews?

Hi everyone!

Paul Ponna recently released a new software product called 'Auction Acrobat'. It looks very good... Just wondering if any Warriors have bought the software. I am not an eBay expert and will appreciate any feedback.

All the best,

Francois du Toit

This is a great product!

I am not an eBay expert either but you can imagine my excitement when I got the email from Paul about the development of their new product.

I will be updating my squidoo lens here, once I get to play around more with its features and functionality, so you may want to bookmark it.

But so far I am not disappointed. It does a lot for your money, a great investment.

And yes you can integrate the autoresponder features of your choice (Aweber or GetResponse, wish there was more) into your campaigns.

This is the new era of selling on eBay okay. You either follow the smart way of selling multiple digital items daily or just do things your own way and struggle till you give up. Auction Acrobat takes care of all the hassles for you because it is the real deal simply, and it does a lot...and I mean a lot!

- it's easy, you can build lists real fast, sell CDs/DVDs and sell them for high prices, and automate everything.

The sales page says everything and maybe you might get another extensive review from someone else, but since I am still having fun playing with this..you can visit my squidoo lens for my updates.

I know this product will sell very well because a lot of people whether doing eBay full-time or part-time will want to get their hands on this!

Also note he is serious about increasing the price which I think still makes sense. So if you are on the fence about this, you only have less than 72 hours to make up your mind before the price goes up.

I will of course personally help anyone if they buy through my link.

Take care and hope this brief review helped.

- Femi

This is an excellent script a dream come true form eBay sellers.

I just looked at the features and they are amazing. Who knew you can actually add only your customer's primary paypal email address to your autoresponder and market them upsells!!

Amazing concept really.

Good script. But installation is not for beginners. The outsourced installation video goes over your head if you're not experienced with sql or uploading files to a server. With that said, with it's auction listing integration, it makes selling physical products almost as easy as selling ebooks. It also is compatible with Aweber and Getresponse to build your list of customers on auto-pilot. Some nice marketing features built-in.

But there are some things that prospective customers need to know before investing. I've posted a F.A.Q. page at http://www.davidlovelace.com/acrobat/answers.htm You may find it useful.

I also bought this, looks excellent.
However have you seen Ebays new FEES starting next month, final value fee up from 8.75% to 15% plus a limit on shipping and packing fees of $3. Who else can get away with a 72% price hike!! Kunaki charge I think it's $3 for packing and handling so you would need to take a close look at pricing of your CD/DVD prices on Ebay after 9/16 when it comes into effect.

These are good points. It's the first I've heard of these Ebay fee increases
Ebay are not making it known are they. Like you say you would have to take a close look at your pricing

Yea, if you're editing passwords.php and uploading to your own server,
with your own database, should look like this :

<?
$database_host = 'localhost';
$database_user = '****_****';
$database_pass = '*********';
$database_name = '****_****';
?>

Juss changing the **** bits obviously.

Very true, the installation vids, suk a phat one for noobs,
but setup took me not even 5 minutes without watching any vids.

The Installation PDF is straight forward enough.

and Im just about to test a full product before selling,
see what happens

ahh... yea.. very true...

But with auction acrobat, you have the ability to upsell
after the user wins/buys the auction, so the idea is to make more money on the backend...

to cover any increased costs etc.

Let's see if we can party like a demon with AuctionAcrobat

All the best guyz.

Hi all

I am looking at returning to eBay after a while away and am thinking of buying this but am just wondering a few things first:

1) Can I sell multi-disc sets through Kunaki using this script?

2) Can I sell on any eBay site in multiple currencies ($'s on eBay.com and £'s on .co.uk)

3) Where do customers get redirected to after payment - is it a specific page per product, or one specific page for all orders?

4) Is it possible to add products and bypass the Kunaki part? I'd like to be able to list everything through this script to capture email addresses easily etc through one system but shipping to the UK is too expensive using Kunaki. It'd be great to be able to tell it that I'll ship UK orders myself

5) Once a product is added to the script and uploaded to eBay can I relist it using a different means (i.e. GarageSale on my Mac). If I do relist in this way does the script recognise the auction through the title or similar, or does a listing have to be created via AuctionAcrobat?

Also, I see from the affiliates page that there are two OTO's - any chance anyone can reveal what they are

I guess I may have to contact support for the answers to all these questions!

Many thanks
Phil

I think you misread it. Actually, they decreased the listing fee on CD/DVD items.

You can read full details here: http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200808....08-08-20070116

Also, about the Auction Acrobat software, I just got it all setup and it does support multiple currencies but no, it seems to only work with kunaki. Other than the ebay 'Auction Title' you don't have to change anything else.

I think that's a smart way to do an eBay script to make it work even if eBay changes something as the 'Auction Title' will always be there!

Nothing in the instructions talks about the function of a website here. Am I to understand that this just needs "any" live website to install the database files to so the system connects with eBay, Kunaki, PayPal and the chosen AR?

It would be really nice to have real video of an installation to a real host and not just the Hostgator sample stuff.

If this does show web pages on a site after installation, is there anyone who has it installed and wants to let us peek?

Thanks

I was just snooping around the member's area and found that they recently added 3 new videos.

I just watched one of them and it's basically about using all the marketing features (upsells etc.) of the script and how to use it with ebay the right way. Might be helpful to you.

I know this is probably a silly question, but since the whole process is on automatic pilot, and the ebay payment goes to your paypal account. How does kunaki get paid? does this mean kunaki is paid automatically as well? or do you have to leave money with them in account or somethng to cover the costs.

Hey freemnet

According to an email I received from Paul Ponna (I believe the creator), Auction Acrobat is designed for Ebay only. It automates 100% of the process on Ebay which is supposed to be more difficult than Amazon or a website or blog. Disc Mojo automates the process on Amazon, blogs, websites, CD bay, etc. Apparently not Ebay. I'm no expert on this. This is just the info from Paul's email he sent out.

When I first got the email I felt a little disappointed in that I thought Disc Mojo did all of this for Ebay as well. I also thought that the price could have been a little lower for the previous customers of Disc Mojo (not just a short term $10 discount). I'm don't mean to sound negative just a little surprised DM didn't handle this as well. Kinda felt that I was having to buy a second product to cover something that was already purchased.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the info. I was under the same impression (rgd EBay) as well.

I think Paul Ponna is the creator for Disc Mojo as well. I haven't bought it out but am still thinking about it (Disc Mojo, I mean) Auction too rich for me!

Any comments on Disc Mojo?

Momo,

where did you hear that? I'm an affiliate and the price is actually going up to $97 (it's currently $77) on tuesday.

There are two price increases for this software in the 7 day launch period.

I have both disc-mojo and auction acrobat...

Disc-mojo is for any website, amazon, cd baby, and just about whatever else you can think of. But Not eBay. and you need to pre pay your kunaki account and keep it topped to ship your CDs/DVDs.

AA is obviously for eBay, and you can have multiple eBay accounts, running ONE Auction Acrobat Install.

Upsell is from the automated email that gets sent after the main purchase. And your list gets built with the customers PAYPAL email address, along with first name AND last name...

Pauls experiencing great conversion rates from that email address...
Obviously... I mean... who doesnt check their paypal email address?

So you can send em an affiliate offer, or your own upsell offer from the automated email and that would help cover any increased costs on ebay's part.

Although I see here a few here are concerned or turned off by the increased fees I actually see it as a good thing.

It's weeding out a lot of competition.

So I look at it as an opportunity... a challenge...
may the "best marketer win" type thing

You'll have to use the best strategies to turn a massive profit
and the simple fact is... not many people on ebay are upselling their customers.

They focus on the one sale. and that's it.
Back-end strategies make a world of difference to your profits.

(Obviously). but it's always overlooked. especially on eBay.
So there's a kool lil tip for ya.

oh. and I doubt very much that the price will go down, but all the best to grab it if it does

hope all that helps

That cleared up a lot my questions, but "you need to pre pay your kunaki account and keep it topped to ship your CDs/DVDs."
Is that how Auction Acrobat works as well ? I was really hoping for something that was "really" automatic that used PayPal's "mass pay" script or something.
It is great to actually hear from someone that uses it rather than read a review that might be an affiliate squeeze page. Much appreciated.
I heard that there is a new version of "Smartdd" (ver3) coming out soon that does something similar.

I purchased this as well.

There is a big problem - and that's that the documentation is really poor. To me it looks as though the author has written a product for their own use (knowing how it works), realised that it may have some more widespread appeal, then released it after some minimal tidying up.

So, if you're not used to installing software on a server, not familiar with databases etc, you're going to have great difficulty just getting started.

The documentation is almost exclusively video screen captures. These I find a huge annoyance, due to the time wastage of watching them and trying to find the relevant areas with answers to questions. This also means being restricted to using the product in areas where audio is available. The accent of the developer is mostly understandable, but would be more suited to North Americans. Product documentation dependent on audio is a big no in the UK and Europe at the moment (for instance, this discriminates against deaf users) and so here is an aspect which needs urgently fixing.

For the software - there is still guesswork involved in its use. There is no way to test a campaign, apart from running it. I think I've set everything up, but there's a concern whether or not the linking will work, whether the autoresponder set up is correct etc. which can't be tested until I have a sale.

A lot has been made about the automatic linking to the autoresponder. It does look like a great feature. I presume that the autoresponder takes precedence if set up. To me, it looks as though this will only work well with single opt in. Also, it looks as though all sales are linked to the same autoresponder message. So, if you're making offers in multiple niches, your autoresponder message will need to be a very generic catch-all.

The other thing I haven't yet worked out is the international issue, although I guess postage charges only make it really feasible to use the system for US customers.

Overall then, it looks promising, lacking a lot in ease of set up and documentation, but people with the rare combination of tech savvy and internet marketing expertise could do well with the product.

THAT was a really good detailed review Impact-Productions. You covered all the bases and answered my concerns without me even having to ask.

Default Re: Auction Acrobat by Paul Ponna... Any reviews?

I purchased both Disc-Mojo and AA. I really like Disc-Mojo, but to be honest, I had to do a lot of customization and some programming to get what I wanted. Other than that DM worked great. I've implemented DM here InflixHT Home Theater Countdown DVD

I purchased AA out of curiosity. I've been an eBay seller since '99 and have been involved in eBay education and coaching for several years. I really liked the concept behind AA, but like others, I found the documentation to be severely lacking. I'm extremely technical and struggled understanding the eBay integration.

One thing I found about AA that I do not like is the Paypal integration. Because it uses the Paypal IPN, any other products I sell via paypal outside of eBay use that IPN as well. So if you are using IPN for other sites or scripts you cannot use AA. Since Paypal only supports 1 bank account, that means multiple bank accounts may be needed.

I think Paul has some great products, and AA could be worth it with some work, but this isn't for the non-technical people. However, to his credit, Paul is now offering an install service which is a pretty good deal.

Also, about the Auction Acrobat software, I just got it all setup and it does support multiple currencies but no, it seems to only work with kunaki. Other than the ebay 'Auction Title' you don't have to change anything else.

I think that's a smart way to do an eBay script to make it work even if eBay changes something as the 'Auction Title' will alwa

Yes Ebay reduced the listing fee a little for CD/DVD and trumpeted that loudly in there announcement. However they didn't mention the new Final Value fee which IS going up from 8.75 to 15% on 9/16. The new FV fee far outweighs the reduced listing fee!

But as someone else pointed out using Auction Acrobat will provide a great way to upsell.

So do you guys think that DiscMojo and Auction Acrobat together offer a complete package? I'm thinking on buying both.

Thanks
