Just received an email about Dominating Local. Has anyone bought this yet? I am thinking about buying it, but would like some feedback before I purchase it. It has a pretty high price tag. Just wondering what you think.

I have been through all the videos and I have to say they are in detail. Now, link building, writing content and spinning is a must for faster results. Oh, on page seo. In Wp training video he goes into what plugins to use, very helpful. For quick results, it comes down to your research, mainly. You have to pick your own wp theme you want to use, in the training video he goes through paid and free ones. The whole idea behind dominating local is the plugin, what it does, it drip feeds business listings on to your website with company name, star ratings, comments and locations.

The videos are structured with new stuff for newbies and advanced. Why I say advanced, many advanced IM are lazy (they like to say smart,) he shows effective manual link building methods linking to your money site. After you can use your tools to increase the power.

The final video, is on how to make money from your site/sites wether it's adsense or selling your site... NOTE: I have only realised why they were selling offline xfactor up sale, so if you know about offline you don't need this. (I'm sure you can get an upto date offline tactics for cheaper.)

So, it's in your best interest to first write content and have as many spun versions as possible, have a decent theme and build links.

As I mentioned this method can work in theory, so I will report my results ASAP.

This is only a part review, but i will update it as i go on:

Up sales : Rank Builder $4.99 for the first month and offline xfactor $597 I think.

I didnt go for any of them as i have alternatives for link building. Yes, you do get free bonuses local Niche finder, webinar on adsnese with a top guru (If you have a better alternative, then no problem)

I have been playing around with it for the last few hours so I can only give a skim review for now.
Its about going research for keywords in the local market preferably low hanging fruit with less links, no keyword in url and low competition with high paying customer value or high CPC for adsense to monetise your site. To find this out you can use a free tool that jared recommends in the video on the competition (also Jared voice is on the training videos (I have only gone through 2 module videos.)
The whole idea for this is for you to write the content spin it 1,2,3 or 4 times with spin text for sentence or paragraphs. They provide a custom templete in the members area where you do all the creating for your theme (you can edit and play). The good thing about this is when you have finished customising your theme related to the niche you are targeting within the members aera, it sends the data to your WP site and uploads the articles and drip feeds, comments, star rating, google earth pictures business links (if available) right on to your site. So, you are actually building an authority site.

In theory, this sounds to be a great tool (in theory), to be honest Its not a push button so to speak. You still have to write your content and spin it, so its worth getting TBS or spinchimp. The way it creates unique content is from your spinable articles you have written up. (So it seems, but i could be wrong) I havent set up my site as of yet, so i cant comment. I will update this post later.

I've bought baby plan, mainly because I associated the names behind the product with Auto Content Cash. I've never used the Auto Content Cash system exactly as it's laid out but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the tutorials and never regretted buying it.
So, the first impression about this system was a disappointment regarding tutorials.
Too much time spent on 'how-to-setup-wp-and-plugin(s)' stuff, instead of helping us more :
** to master better the local approach to PROFITABLE Page One positions (who cares for non-profitable local KWs page ranks ?! We can get those ranked every day without any software and tutorials)
** to understand better how to use the software, giving more (demo)examples on what we could expect to be able to build using the software

There are no written accompanying pdf-s or so .
It's hard to follow details about setting up templates in video tutorial (some users reported they have gone 8-10 times through out the video(s) trying to understand)...

I've bought into the product with the intent to flip those sites.
Now I wonder how it will work since the plugin serves as a connection to web based
software that pulls data into the site. The site buyer would need to get access
to the members area or site couldn't be updated/changed anymore...Not a happy situation. Don't think it will increase any sales on Flippa.
Waiting for support to clarify how it's working.

The whole support system is pretty confusing as well as .
I've submitted ticket and got the page saying "message sent successfully".
Regarding the Support rules if I do not get any reply in 24 hours, I just need to
open the existing ticket and ask for reply... Sounds nice, but I never got
any confirmation email that my ticket was opened, nor do I see any way
how could I access my existing ticket from the support web page.
(also the drop-down list of products for ticket submission do not include
    Dominating Local )

I used to trust the guys like Brian Johnson, Jared Croslow...
Are the times soooo bad that we must not trust anyone anymore ??!!

    Here is my review...

As with any new product there are going to be some bugs. I experienced a couple of them. I have not gotten them resolved yet. It's the weekend, and they only had one person wo-manning the support desk. But she was very helpful.

I also experienced the drop down list not having the product listed.

I have also not gotten confirmation of some of my support tickets, but I have
    gotten responses.

I was also a bit put off by the payment processor, however I did use my Visa credit card, and I did not have a problem with it. I got immediate access to the dashboard through my log in information.

I also had a concern about how to flip the site with the plugin on the site. It was never answered until I read this thread. The only concern I have though, once the API key and plugin are removed from the website, do I regain access to build another site? If I am allowed 8 sites, I build 8, sell one, do I have the ability to build another one? Or do I need to purchase another block of 8 sites? I am tending to think it's the latter.

I was not able to get my posts to post to my site though. That's where I got into a bit of trouble. I think there is a step missing in the training video where you need to select static page and a post page. You need to create a page for your "reviews" to post to, and then select that in the wordpress dashboard under settings, then reading, then select static page and then the post page ("reviews).

There was a disconnect between the dominating local script and my site, and don't know if it had to do with the URL, and not having the "review" page listed. I only had my home page set as my project URL.

The training videos are well organized and for the most part clearly demonstrate the steps needed:

    1. Manually search the Local Niche competition and determine the difficulty and the value of the niche

    2. Manually write your unique content

    3. Build your project inside Dominating local and select the type of template and the database of the niche you're targeting.

    4. Start automatic posting to your site

    5. Build backlinks by building web 2.0 properties, and backlinking through feedburner.

There aren't any PDF's to accompany the videos.

It appears that Jarod is working hard to accommodate his customers to ensure that satisfaction is guaranteed. Therefore, I am going to stick it out and see how things go.

If you are a newbie to wordpress this could take some time to build a site and then promote it to get traffic. Learn how to FTP, that will help speed things up.

If you know how to setup the site and then clone them, then you are ahead of the game by a couple of hours...however you still need to write the content, build the backlinks, and then monetize it.

This is not a push button program, you still need to do the work. However the beauty of this program is the database of businesses that these guys provide, and there is enough for everybody. You are targeting local businesses that are paying for local traffic. When people search for services like roofing, or auto repair, they need a local service, then Google serves up ads that are geo targeted for that search term. Local rather than global. The chances of having targeted ads on your site are much higher.

But even with the automation this system provides, you still need to do the work. The interesting thing to see is how these sites rank. I have never targeted local before using automated software as a directory type site.

    Hope this helps...

    Karen

Update: The reason my posts were not posting to my site was that there weren't any businesses for my local area in the database. I can see how many "records" there are for the specific niche, but I'm not able to see how many business listings "records" there are for my local area. This is a bit annoying since you won't know until you build the site. I have to say, that I don't know this for sure since my support tickets are not getting answered... I am assuming this based on the fact that when my project shows up, it says "0" records.

I'm waiting to see how this plays out. The training videos don't address this problem. They just say, they are adding more businesses everyday to their databases.

I would would of like to believed Jared (the person developing the product would at least have the support team working fine, no.) It has been 4-5 days without an email or an update as of what's happening.

I find it worry and at the same time interesting to see what will happen next for this tool. Don't buy this tool.

Why I am saying that, the plugin hasn't posted the content to my site and is flagging an error. I understand tools have bugs or set backs, but when the customer support team is on the same level of errors, that's a no no.
I am sorry if you have had an issue. But I assure you we are answering all support in less than 24 hours. I sent out an email update on Sunday to all customers, and we have been responding to anyone with problems via the support desk. We we're here all weekend as well. You simply go to supportchamps.com or email us direct at support@dominatinglocal.com which is provided in all email receipts and their is a link inside the member's are.

If you had problems with the pages transferring, simply click the "Deploy" button under the project, and select your site. It will start the transfer over.

I would understand if you were saying: 'it's launch... it's product in beta...
bear with us, we will get to anyone asking support...'

But if you are assuring about 24 hours support response...it doesn't make me feel any better ( but even more scary )

I bought last night. I got two emails asking me to confirm. I did but got no login details back. I notified support but have not heard anything. 24 hour support? Doesn't look like it. Anyway I went into the members area and requested password change. That worked and now the site has been down all night. So far I am less than impressed. The material better be good.

I was really hoping to find some news about this product by now. I checked in about 5-6 days ago and held off buying because of some of the issues people were having. I was hoping they would have been resolved and some positive feedback would have been posted. But nothing???
Oh well, it seemed like a very good product but I won't buy unti I see some resolution to the support problems.

      I was complaining about support,
but those problems were just temporary :everything came into the place shortly after the product lunch.
The product is introduced as being beta, so they work on improvements and it's okey.
If you're interested in building local products/services directory listings, you
can't go wrong buying this IMO.
      Hope this helps.

I'm not sure this product is really ready for primetime.

I have purchased the "platinum" plan and after watching the training - did my keyword research, got a domain name - set up a wp site only to get to the database portion that feeds the site to find out that the US databases aren't all as precisely broken down as one might expect given the training.

You need DUI attorneys in your city? Good luck - the database stops at attorneys. And then if you want attorneys in your city - good luck - there might be zero.

Plus the database isn't exactly searchable - for instance, attorneys isn't a database - its under business legal services - all logical in hindsight - but without a multi-level search, I had to go main title - and click on an open button that would allow for a drop down menu to come up. Which is how I eventually found legal business services containing attorneys.

And while yes you can narrow down from all US attorneys - down to state and then city, not every database can narrow down to attorneys in even major US cities.

And the support is more a tech support rather than a "how IS this supposed to work" - clearly people are having trouble but it seems to be OK to say - install the plugin for the database to populate when the question is clearly more in line with the nature of my review. It allows for the ticket to be closed but clearly not solve the problem of the client.

I'm 50/50 in terms of asking for a refund today but I will give it a few more days to give support and I assume Jared an opportunity to respond and make things more clear.

In the meantime, if you must - go with the baby account - don't buy the whole enchilada.

Yea, I came across this via Jack Mize's short vid on "why local adsense pays more" with the suggestion to take a looksie. It then became apparent that he's a JV with the subsequent (OTO) upsell to his OfflineXFactor training modules. Jack calls it "one of the most powerful local internet marketing softwares in existence!" Yes, it's about selling, but he is very experienced in offline marketing.

Anywas, after some further research and on the surface it looks good and polished, but it appears the jury is still out on it's long term monitizaton value.

As mentioned priro, the lack of pdfs issue is probably intentional to avoid distribution. The the proprietary plugin for automation is the real anchor as this is a custom content delivery system.

The training info would probaly be good place to start for noobs. Seasoned pros could/should take a look under the hood for ideas, but like any closed loop system it's best to get ideas and then find similar systems/software that will take you out of the monthly fee pit!

I agree, you would definatley need a good Offline Research tool in addition to whats offered. There is a Warrior Offer somewheres here for Googles Places scraper
      (http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ight=gpscraper).

That or something similar may be the missing piece?
