Hello,

I was wondering if anyone is able to offer their advice and opinion on some "selling" sort of keywords that would be more so directed at users and aid them in their decision of buying our service.

I'm currently constructing a website here:
Dwarfs Penny

I'm a bit stuck for keywords to use what engages with a user and makes them interested in buying the service.

As you can see the text I've come up with is somewhat explanatory but otherwise a bit "goble-de-gooky"

Could you offer some advice on some words or phrases i could use to get the user excited about purchasing our service?

May I make a few suggestions on the site design?

1. A lot of blank space near the top...Do you have a plan to put something there? If not, that could definitely be tightened up so you can get more of the content above the fold. That top area is you most valuable prime real estate.

2. With that little screen scroller you are using, are those screenshots got to "pop" into a lightbox or something? If not, I suggest you reduce those images to their proper viewing size in that box (418x258?). Otherwise, each user is loading those large 1600x1200 images and not only is that wasting your bandwidth, it also loads much slower for the viewer.

Thanks so much Rod, We're having a couple of technical issues with the top "white space" around the image/banner presentation. We're going to try to correct that but thank you for highlighting the importance of having more content above the fold.

In the slider, the images are currently just there as "place holders" what we want to do later is put in some little images either about the service or perhaps some other products/services available which are applicable. Again we'll take your advice here with the size.

Do you have any other suggestions or ideas? your input is highly valued.

We're mainly seeking some "pitch" words and/or rearranging the content with selling terms that engage the user. We plan to add them value in the service rather than value from just the website if that makes sense, so i'm having difficulty with these terms or phrases.

A few observations

The site looks clean but does not flow well.


First in the description you say sign up to our list but you have no opt in form Lose the picture on the left and replace with an opt in form

you have a free trial button that goes to an order form that requires a credit card is it a trial or is it a pay offer. and the sign up button for the free guide takes you to the same order form. The sign up button should take you to an opt in form.or jump back to the top of page with an opt in form above the fold.


You may want to shrink the dwarf and move the title up by his head and move the radio buttons below his feet this way more of your page will load above the fold.

We have taken your true statement very much on board, my partner agrees that the site quite simply doesn't "Flow" well, from things like text to structure although it is presented well.

We are trying to capture a list or sign up (opt in) at a bit later stage of the websites build. At the moment we are most concerned with the text that we have to capture the users eye and get them excited about the service we're offering.

The free trial button is merely a place setter, unfortunately I don't think we can offer a "free trial" to this service as we'll using time and effort to provide it at any rate.

What we want to do is convert the Free Trial to more of a "Buy Now" type button with our call to action text being an "opt in" to the list.

We've been working on the banner and text / dwarf today. let us know what you think, we took your advice a bit cheers ---- The white space on the right hand side of the dwarf may be an "opt in" to our newsletter and such... but i really want to give the user something for free like a guide or something useful to the game.

Any more comments? thanks so much guys. In addition, does anyone know any good affiliate programs for selling services rather than products?

I would eventually want to get us using one..
